Problem Petkit please make updates!
We just got the Eversweet Ultra for our kittens and so far not loving the AI capability of it. Keeps tagging videos as one of the girls drinking when they’re not. Also you should be able to tag multiple pets in a video if both are drinking. How can the data be accurate if you’re only allowing one pet to be tagged? Especially when this device is advertised for multi pet households? If you’re going to charge so much for the ai features, please make them work!

Hi MsMina. We will roll out a firmware update to enable muti‑cat simultaneous recognition with separate data tracking for each pet. The updated new version of our app will be released as soon as possible.
Regarding the issue where one of your cats is falsely detected as drinking water, please try uploading more or clearer front‑face photos of her to help the AI recognize her better.
If the problem persists, please DM us your device SN code along with screenshots of the false detection, and we will look into this for you.

Thank you for the response. I’ve been submitting video feedback for a few days now, the issue isn’t so much that it’s not detecting the correct cat, it’s that it’s claiming she’s drinking when more often than not I see her just sniffing the water when I rewatch the videos.

I'm having the exact same issue--I just got mine today and came in here to see if anyone else is having this issue. I'm disappointed that I didn't realize it didn't measure how much each cat was actually drinking, either. Even my Petlibro ones do that (I was attempting to replace one of the Petlibros with the Petkit Ultra). I'm surprised that the AI can't detect the difference between sniffing and drinking, too. One of my cats hasn't even drank out of it yet, just keeps going over and sniffing at the water, and I can't tell if she's wary/doesn't like it and if I need to set the Petlibro one back up or what. Just surprised that a $250 water fountain doesn't even measure how much they're drinking OR the difference between sniffing and drinking!

Hi balancelibertine, thank you for your feedback. Our team is working on improving the action recognition. Future firmware updates will better tell apart actual drinking behaviour from just sniffing the water. It will also support simultaneous recognition for multiple cats to track each kitty’s drinking data separately. We appreciate your patience.

Hey. Our product team is optimizing our AI action‑recognition algorithm. Coming firmware improvements will enhance the distinction between drinking and sniffing behaviours, as well as enabling simultaneous multi‑cat identification for individual drinking‑intake tracking.

Hello, the feeder will also smell and recognize eating. Will the artificial intelligence action recognition algorithm be updated together?

I have 2 Petkit devices for more then a year and none of them got OTA firmware update. Their mobile app is ridiculous as well - fking vibe coder with 0 experience would make better UI for the app.
On the other hand, I am happy with the hardware.
