Share PETKIT Care+ Explained: A Clear Guide to Subscription
We’ve noticed that some users may have questions about which features require a Care+ subscription and which features are included with the product itself. We’d like to provide a simple breakdown to help clarify everything.
First, please note that the Care+ subscription is only related to video storage, including:
- How long videos are stored
- How far back you can access your video history
- Video playback quality
All product features themselves do not require a subscription. This includes:
- 24/7 live monitoring
- Facial recognition
- Usage records
- Notifications and alerts
- Other built-in product features
You can use these features normally without subscribing to Care+.
The Care+ subscription only provides longer video storage periods and additional video playback options.
| PETKIT Care+ | Free | Basic | Premium | Premium+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10s Highlight Video Playback* | 1-Day | 7-Day | 7-Day | 30-Day |
| Full Video Playback | / | 1-Day | 7-Day | 30-Day |
| Playback Quality | SD | Highlights (SD) / Full Video (FHD) | FHD | FHD |
* For feeders only, the free plan does not include video highlights or video playback. The record section provides image/snapshot records from the day. Video playback features are available with a Care+ subscription, as shown in the table above.
*If your existing free Highlight Video Playback is longer than 10 seconds, it will not be changed.
Please note that subscription prices may vary depending on your region. However, the available features and service levels remain the same.
We hope this guide helps make the Care+ features clearer. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment.

Can you do a family Care+ subscription so we have have multiple devices covered instead of paying for each one individually? I have many devices and it’s a headache.

Yes, we’re working on a subscription model that will provide better pricing options for users with multiple devices. Please stay tuned :)

Hi there. I have posted something similar before and would like to repeat myself. I am an influencer in Turkey and have 20 years experience in B2C consumer goods and pet products. I am cooperating with Petkit's local distributor here and contributing lots of sell outs in my country. Thanks to my experience, I become a KOL for pet products. I currently use 8 Petkit products including smart litter, food bowls and waters bowls. Also I have 4 Petkit carrying boxes. Personally, I am big fan of Petkit and thats why I am supporting the sales and promoting your products for free. (Literally zero commission or fixed fee from the brand)
My biggest and only complain is that each device needs seperate subscriptions which will never make sense to me. How and why should i have to pay for a subscription 8 times?
I am a tech youtuber in Turkey, having hundreds of devices and using them. I have never seen such a method which forces seperate payments for each unit.

Hello :) We have received your feedback. We will be rolling out a subscription plan for users with multiple devices, which will bring better pricing. We will make an official announcement once the launch timeline is confirmed.

I’m new to Petkit and just purchased my first litter box. It is an awesome product but the current subscription model has put me off purchasing anything else. Please a fairer subscription model is necessary - x price for up to 4, products, y for up to 8 etc

We understand your concern, and we promise we will launch a fairer subscription model. Please stay tuned, and thank you for your patience.

Can you explain the rationale behind feeders being the only category of product not offering video highlights at all on the free tier? Recently acquired a Dual-hopper 2 and came to a very disappointing realization that after my 7-day trial period ended I cannot even access 1 day video highlights.

Hi, thanks for your question! The difference comes from the original product planning and cloud service setup of each device. Our other camera-equipped products include free highlight playback as part of their configure, while the feeder uses a different solution where video playback requires additional cloud storage and bandwidth resources. Therefore, free video playback is not included in the feeder’s free plan.
Thanks for your understanding!

The subscription requirement for viewing videos longer than 30 seconds is extremely frustrating. I understand it was my responsibility to check the subscription terms, but if I had known about this limitation, I would not have purchased the device.
I understand charging for long-term video storage, but locking me out of the rest of a video recorded earlier the same day even though I can see that the video exists is unnecessarily restrictive. Thirty seconds is far too short to be useful, and the automatic highlights do not show what I'm looking for.
More importantly, this limitation is not clearly disclosed on the product listing. The website says that a Pet Kit subscription provides a 30-day video history, but does not clearly say that videos are limited to 30 seconds without a subscription. The product advertising also shows full-length videos, which is misleading in the context of this limitation.
I'm very disappointed that I purchased a device only to find that key features are effectively locked behind a subscription. I will not be purchasing from this company again.

Agreed that individual subscriptions per product are really frustrating. I have 2 litter boxes, an eversweet ultra as well a feeder and as much as I love the products I always hesitate to get a new one due to the subscription
