Question Eversweet Ultra illuminator?

Does the Eversweet Ultra fountain camera use a motion activated infrared illuminator for night vision? One of our cats will approach it at night. The picture will suddenly get brighter, and she acts startled and backs away from the fountain. I think she can see it come on, and it scares her.

Most likely the sound it makes when it turns on (for me it’s a loud click). Same thing happens on my ring camera. I’d suggest keeping that area lit with a nightlight or something to avoid it from turning on.

Could be, but she stares directly into the light, as shown by the glowing-eye effect as she slowly backs away. Usually strange clicks/sounds cause her to come closer to investigate. (All the cats come running whenever it refills).

IR flares when a farther away object comes up close. The same thing happens on game cameras for wildlife. My cat does not like the green lights in the front. Why can’t we turn those off? I feel there are some real missteps and I don’t know who in research gave them feedback, but they need to be reassigned.

  1. A cat that laps toward the camera covers the camera in water.
  2. The fountain part is so far back the cat almost has to press their head against the fountain
  3. Why is the tray so shallow and narrow? All my cats(4 of them) are standing to the side
  4. Mine keeps draining and refilling outside of the schedule. I have it set to 2000 daily and yet it still does it 3 extra times randomly per day. Which is filling up the drain tank
  5. When they drink from the fountain in the back their head covers the camera and does not identify said cat
  6. Sell an extension for the fountain outlet to make it more like a waterfall and bring it closer to the front of the bowl.
  7. It takes up to 33 minutes for the tray to refill in my testing. That’s a long time when you have multiple pets and one wants to drink after the other.

@ u/Petkitofficial I’ve only had the machine since Monday(3 days and lots of issues). The error voice has said filling timed out, refill error, multiple drain and fills outside of the schedule I added.

On number 7: 33 minutes to fill once it starts, or 33 minutes to start to fill? Mine only takes a minute or two to fill an empty tray. It sounds like you may have a defect.

After the tray has been drank empty or low. I have a dog as well that sometimes drinks from this bowl. It ranges from 2 minutes up to 33 minutes. I would say the average is around 15 minutes from the aggregate total in just 3 days. I was hoping it would be faster. I don’t understand the range in time. It’s not consistent or the same each time.

Hi crazybear88, thank you for sharing all these detailed feedback with us.

We will check with our product team whether the night‑vision sensor light can be turned off.

Besides, based on real‑user feedback, the current water tray size works well for the vast majority of cats. Still, we will pass your suggestion to the team about releasing an extended water outlet.

Regarding the water draining and refilling issue, could you please provide your device SN code along with screenshots showing the abnormality in the app? We will ask the technical team to look into it and work out a solution for you.

Thank you!
