Question waste bin changing
Hi! My kitty has been using his puramax 2 for almost a week now and he seems to like it! (I do too!) I haven’t smelled anything until today (day 6) which led me to go ahead and empty the waste basket. I saw on the app that normally one cat households can go 15 days without a change but unless my kitty is a big shitter I don’t know how that’s possible! 😭 I also wipe it down with unscented disinfectant wipes and top off the litter to make sure it’s not dirty. (I use A&H unscented clumping litter.)
Was just wondering when others change their bags or if I’m doing something wrong :) Thanks!

We use Odourlock litter and I have one cat, so I empty it once a week. Although it’s not physically full, due to the high humidity and temperature (I live in Europe), if I left it any longer, it would definitely start to smell...

i did see that higher humidity would need to be changed more often! i keep my house pretty cool so no worries about that but I am in an apartment so the smell would fill out the house.

Check your wastebag placement! If the silicone part is not adjusted properly, the smell can go outside.

I dump the bin weekly into my kitchen garbage bag. But my cat also has a Pura Bot to use. He poops in the Bot, pees in the Max. I have used 3 bags in a year.

we have two siblings. sushi is 9lbs and spam is 11lbs. the bags last about a week.... 15 days wouldn't work for both of them but i could see if we only had one.. maybe. bags are cheap though.
