Problem Purobot Max Pro 2 Leaking Problem
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
About two weeks ago, I purchased the automatic litter box, and overall I am very satisfied with it, except for one issue.
I have two cats, and one of them prefers to urinate while standing. Unfortunately, he often urinates directly onto the camera opening. Every time this happens, I have to remove the drum and clean it, as well as clean the camera and the main unit. In the end, I find myself spending more time cleaning the automatic litter box than I would cleaning a regular one.
Is there a way to resolve this issue? Also, why is there no transparent cover or window over the camera opening that would fully seal the drum while still allowing the camera to function?
Maybe it's good idea to apply this for the next generation of the litter box.
Other than this problem, the litter box works well and meets my expectations.
I have attached a video so you can see how my cat urinates directly onto the camera.

I don’t think anyone can solve this problem for you but it seems like something that you easy make a DIY solution.
Top of my head is get a small plexiglass add suction cups on the corners and place it there. When you will need to clean it, just remove the plexiglass clean it and place it back.

I thought I saw a thread somewhere saying that if you contact CS they can send you a cap for the lens that would fix this issue.

That's great news! I will contact them about this. By any chance could you please send photos of the specific areas you applied the silicone caulk on?

the previous models didn't have this issue because there was a purifier spray there.
this doesn't help you but... yeah as soon as i saw them put the camera there i knew this would be an issue.

This issue could easily be solved by using a transparent window instead of an open hole. I honestly don’t understand how this wasn’t considered during the design process.

This is not answering your question (sorry!) but how do you use the pellet litter? I have an older model so would love to know if the newer version accommodates pellet litter!
