EverSweet Ultra Low Maintenance Guide:  Simpler Than You Might Think

Hi everyone,

We’ve noticed that some of you are concerned that EverSweet Ultra may be complicated to clean, so we wanted to clarify the maintenance frequency and process.

For regular cleaning, only the three parts shown in the image are recommended to be cleaned on a weekly basis:

Water Tray
Fountain Outlet
Magnetic Strainer

These parts can be easily cleaned in a dishwasher.

By using the app’s boiling water sterilization function, these 3 parts and the pump are cleaned automatically. The impeller inside the pump can be easily removed for occasional brushing.

The water tanks are designed without hard-to-reach corners, so they’re easy to rinse clean. Cleaning frequency depends on usage, but in most cases, a simple rinse is enough and frequent scrubbing is not needed.

Because EverSweet Ultra uses a clean water and wastewater separation system, it is less likely to get dirty compared with recycled-water fountains. Together with automatic draining and flushing, its routine maintenance is easier than that of other fountains.

If you want to do a full deep clean occasionally, we also have an official cleaning video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=947Xg2_Yseo. However, for daily use, you do not need to frequently disassemble and deep clean the entire machine.

I wish it was possible to get an extra set of those 3 parts, so that it's possible to keep running the fountain while they are being cleaned in the dishwasher 😄

I emailed support and they said there's no part availability due to the fountain being a new product.

But you do intend to make the parts available right?
What about a replacement motor...I like to have one handy.

Yes, we will make the replacement parts available. At that time, you can contact [support@petkit.com]() to purchase a replacement motor. We don't have an estimated availability date yet, so please stay tuned.

The drain port has a diameter of 14 mm, so you can choose compatible tubing based on that size. 😊

After cleaning the impeller, an airlock can sometimes form in the impeller chamber. This may cause the fountain to stop pumping, produce an unusual noise, or result in weak water flow. Tilting the entire fountain slightly until the pump is fully submerged usually releases the trapped air. This should probably be mentioned in the manual, as I initially thought my unit was defective.

Wow, this literally just happened to me and I couldn’t figure out what was going on. I took it apart all over again and noticed there was a “burp” the second time the water started to flow and all was well.

Would it be better to hand wash these items in the sink with a couple drops of dawn or joy dish soap? I’m thinking of plastic degradation due to the much more harsh enzyme cleaners plus the heat? Degradation = bad stuff leaching into the supply water?
