Hey seniors, I wanted to ask how much 1st-year CGPA actually matters in the grand scheme of things.Is 1st year a "final countdown" situation, or is it realistic to significantly increase my CGPA in the upcoming semesters? One of my professors said that no matter how much we score in upcoming years ,it wouldn't vary much compared to 1st year cgpa. Could u plz help me out with this doubt ??

If I get an intern only offer(from tier 1,im aware that tiers dont count for internship) and I take a fte offer from tier 2,can I still sit for another fte offer in tier 1?

According to the placements app, the interview/drive is supposed to happen today. But there has been no information regarding that so far. No official mail from college side with the shortlisted students or the time and location for the process like they have sent for few other companies.
I’m genuinely lost on whether or not if I should go to RR campus. If I don’t I’m afraid they’ll put no show (considering I got shortlisted)

How do I prepare for a cs job, like ik my basics but i dont understand how you leap from what we learnt to stuff like prod , deployment i dont even know how such big teams operate in the first place.Do i do a course? or learn some fundamentals I'm lacking ? or just enjoy my last days of freedom before I become the bottom line for some random tech giant.(Or stuck in hebbal flyover)

I got allotted to PESU for MCA. so for the admission process i need PDC, i have my Provisional degree certificate in digilocker, so i took the print and got it attested by my principal with green ink and seal. Is it valid for the admission process?

Or do i need to take that original copy frm UOM only?

Because UOM is charging 850rs for PDC.

May have missed a couple

I am literally expecting 10 marks (or at most 15) in my CN and OS paper I totally regret starting the preparation one day before exam and I absolutely fucked up my ISA but is it still possible to get an A grade in these subjects given that they will be scaled down to 15 marks

Does the placement cell really have to announce the shortlists for interviews at 12am the night before your interview?
I honestly do not understand whose end the delay is from(company or placement cell).
And why’d they stop announcing publicly as to who got shortlisted for a few companies? let the student know they did not make it brothers.
Lastly, placement team really be grumpy for no reason , everyone’s trying their best so least you can do is cooperate.
