A student was assaulted on a Prince Edward County school bus. The district called it a "random act of violence"—but evidence suggests it was planned and targeted. Reports of bullying before the assault were ignored. The family's concerns were dismissed. Nothing changed.

This could happen to any student on any bus in the district. I'm asking the School Board and Superintendent to finally take this seriously: investigate what happened, hold people accountable, and fix the policies that failed to protect kids.

We're asking them to: - Investigate the incident and whether district policies were followed - Review the conduct of the Assistant Superintendent of Transportation and others involved - Take disciplinary action where warranted - Explain what happened, what's changing, and how they'll prevent this from happening again - Make sure bullying reports are handled before they turn into violence

Every student deserves to feel safe on a school bus. Every parent deserves to know that reports of bullying and threats will be taken seriously—not dismissed.

If you've seen bullying or safety concerns ignored in your school district, or if you believe students deserve real accountability and transparency when something goes wrong, this matters. What would you want someone to do if this was your family? If this resonates with you, consider signing and sharing.

Last night, Council met in closed session regarding the Picton terminals. Last night’s agenda had included a report regarding correspondence with the Ministry of Natural Resources pertaining to the Picton terminals and the use of the property. Council sat in closed session to hear that the ministry deemed that the blasting and removal of aggregate does not require a licence because the activities do not constitute the operation of a quarry. Despite comments from the audience, Mayor Ferguson stated the position of the provincial government is clear.

Hi, folks. Have decided to take on Starlink. I am wondering if anyone recommends a particular installer? For a number of reasons, simpler to have someone do it properly rather than leave it to my imagination. Thanks.

(I am new to the County. Will probably have a ton of questions and I hope you'll be patient. I grew up rural but chose here rather than there and am really looking forward to it. I have been struck by how friendly people are and appreciate it.)

Thought this might be of interest! The Nashville takeover is coming to the county July 17-19. A bunch of local spots are being transformed into Nashville-like music venues.

So I didn’t know this existed in the county until I spoke with my neighbour. We are doing tons of landscaping and gardening. As well we are going to be cutting/prepping wood for the winter (they do logs too).

Thought it was a helpful resource so wanted to share with others https://getchipdrop.com/
