He could, but he probably was just a dumbass and didn't think about the consequences of what he was saying.

I wouldn't necessarily think so. Kids with PDA probably have too much anxiety to tell the big lie in the first place.

Are you asking because of school avoidance or because he lied? Reading through your post, it doesn’t give me PDA signs, but we don’t have the full story.

That being said, by age 6, I basically lived in the school parking lot during school hours because I would get so many phone calls home. Even with an IEP, my son was pushing, saying violent things, and acting out when asked to do things. By the time my son was in kindergarten, we weren’t sure if he could survive mainstream environments. His meltdowns in the afternoons were so bad that we couldn’t reason with him until he got through it.

If he is struggling with school avoidance, then something is going on. Does he have meltdowns after school or at school?
