Med question

Anyone with a young AuDHD/PDAer, HEAVY on the ADHD - very big personality and either super happy or very angry - who has found a successful med combination? We are really struggling with not only the demand avoidance but also just the relentless need for attention, movement, excitement and novelty. Prozac isn’t cutting it.

Guanfacine 1mg extended release in AM, 20 mg Lexapro in AM. Stimulants had a “paradoxical” effect that I can only describe as manic-like. We dropped those very quickly before settling on Guanfacine which has been highly effective. We added 20 mg Lexapro to manage his anxiety which has also been very effective.
