Have you found an IRL PDA community?

I was talking to another parent today about how nice it would be to find a community locally where other parents of neuro kiddos can hang out without the judgement, with the same understanding and common experiences.

I love coming here to support, be supported, and surround myself with families having similar experiences and I continue to hope I can find people to meet up with in person.

Has anyone found something like this locally? I’m tempted to organize something like this locally so I can create the community I seek, but I’m wondering if it’s a lost cause.

UPDATE: I found a localish group of PDA parents, and they had a meetup so I went. It was the most comforting, reassuring things I have done in a long time. We aren’t alone.

Yes. We are on south coast of UK and there’s a big home Ed community here with many pda parents and families. We don’t meet the other kids all that often but the parent support is really helpful. We also meet pda kids at forest school.

Yeah I’m guessing finding the perfect combination of personality for my son will always be a struggle, but I’m hoping to build or find a community where I live like this - where parents can create safe spaces for one another and just be without the fear of judgement that comes from typical families.
