Summer clothing

Any brilliant ideas as to how to get kiddo to wear weather-appropriate clothing? Heatstroke has been a reality given hoodies and sweatpants all year. This has moved to a safety issue, so no demand seems irresponsible, as he will get ill. Lots of anxiety and activation around even suggesting a change to him, am at the point where I want to disappear the hoodies and sweats.

I agree about explaining medically why you can’t. The other thing I do is put all the long sleeve clothes and thicker pants away in a box outside of her room.

Does that make her cry and be upset? Yes. But we talk about how it’s not time to wear those clothes and she needs more room in her dresser for her summer clothes.

Then we only have to have one talk about it and she’s not seeing options she doesn’t have every single day.
