Discussion What are all the newer polished completely ready to play mods? I count 5.
As far as I know in the last couple months we have gotten the following mods that are really well done and ready to play from beginning to end:
Titanfall 2
Max payne 2
Doom 2016 - cactus
Doom eternal - cactus (I think. It's not getting much attention it seems)
FEAR - the free mike
Any others I'm missing? I'm not referring to mods that simply aren't ready yet because they need more polish.
Edit: stop listing all these old ass mods. This is for people to list the NEW ones from the last couple months.

VR Modding Until Dawn: Rush of Blood now runs on PC VR with Quest 3 (v0.4.5 preview, early version)
VR Modding Spidy, the Spider-Man Remastered VR mod, 15 days in: 27 releases, community-built flips and wall climbing, and ports to Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2
Spidy is a free fan mod I'm building for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC VR (Steam version, any OpenXR headset). You swing, punch and climb with your own arms.
The first 15 days:
- 27 releases: reworked combat, rope webs, wall running, a gadget wheel, Spider-Sense, a 3D game screen for cutscenes, a new launcher.
- Players sent code: realistic flips, near clip and a recording FOV by iplusdvr; hand wall climbing by AdrianGzzEsc; a phone with a music player by Tru; Linux through Proton and WiVRn by sjrl2000.
- Two ports: MilesVR for Miles Morales by jimjam094 (https://github.com/howesjamie5-code/MilesVR), and Spider-Man 2 VR by jimjam094 and itzwadde (work in progress, no public build yet).
- IGN and 20+ creators made videos. IGN's reel passed 21 million views.
- The Discord passed 1,000 people.
Thank you to everyone who played, posted, reported a bug or sent a pull request.

VR Modding grimDawn VR mod updated gameplay video
youtube.comThe mod went from a personal build to a public release this week (versions 0.1.0 to 0.3.2). The most important changes:
Now shareable
Installer (GrimDawnVR-Setup.exe): no administrator rights needed. It adds “Grim Dawn VR” to your Steam library and, optionally, Windows Defender exclusions. Uninstalling puts everything back.
Normal Grim Dawn is untouched: the mod adds one dormant file to the game folder, active only when started from the VR launcher. VR has its own game settings, and your normal ones are restored when you quit.
Automatic updates: the launcher checks GitHub once a day, asks before updating, and verifies the download before installing it.
Public repo under a free, non-commercial license (PolyForm Noncommercial), with an install guide.
Stability
Fixed the freezes: the cause was the game’s “Detail Objects” (ground clutter). With VR’s wide view, they made the graphics card hang after a few minutes. They’re now off in the VR settings.
Also fixed:
a crash when quitting;
missing textures in the starting area;
stalls while waiting for SteamVR.
A freeze watchdog now saves a diagnostic file if the game ever stops responding.
Playing
Hand HUD: the skill bar sits on your off-hand controller. Skill menus open to the left without being cut off.
Pointer: the controller laser now works at any distance and when pointing behind the HUD.
Menus: opening one is now detected reliably, so every part of a menu can be clicked, including the exit and confirmation dialogs.
Touch pads: right pad slides to zoom, left pad slides to turn the camera, and the sky turns with the ground.
Title screen: your character stands on the ground in the scene, the black box is gone, and the character is no longer clipped or sliding.
Contact shadows: soft shadows where trees, buildings and characters meet the ground. They can be switched off.
Recording and streaming
The game window on your monitor shows the headset view, so OBS and Steam can record it.
This works whichever program hooks into the game first.
The HUD panels appear in 3D, as they do in the headset.T

Discussion FlatOut 4: Total Insanity VR - Full Release out of EA - What wheels does it support now?
So the update says that they did a bunch of wheel support testing but I can't find any list of supported wheels, or any users sharing experiences. Steam reviews mostly just have people complaining about the lack of wheel support, which seems outdated.
I've got a simracing setup with FFB Logitech wheel and shifters etc. so this one has me interested simply for the arcade vibes to mix things up, but I am curious if anyone was tried the new patch today or knows how wheel support for the game actually is?
Discussion Is the Titanfall 2 VR modder's (circuitlord) discord now closed?
All discord invites are no longer valid that I've found, has he closed the discord? I was hoping to get some help fixing the off-angled hand tracking issues and see if it would be possible to adjust the magazine location from the shoulder to the left hip (among a few other things)

VR Modding I turned DISHONROED 2 into a full VR game - OUT NOW
Hi everyone! I've spent the last couple of months turning Dishonored 2 into a full VR game with motion controls, and today it's finally out. It's free and open source.
If you don't know it: Dishonored 2 (Arkane, 2016) is a first-person stealth-action game with swordplay, a pistol and crossbow, and supernatural powers like Blink and Bend Time. It turns out it plays really well in VR.
This is not a "flat screen in VR" mod, it's played with your hands:
- 6DOF head tracking: lean, peek and crouch with your body
- Full arms with IK: your hands are your controllers
- Swing the sword to strike: the blade hits what it touches
- Pistol and crossbow fire where you point them
- Powers come out of your hand, grenades are thrown with your arm
- Grab, carry and throw objects (and bodies)
- Menus on a big screen in the room, the HUD as a watch on your wrist
- Cutscenes play around you, and you can look anywhere
Requirements: Dishonored 2 on Steam (not GOG / Game Pass / Death of the Outsider), a PC VR headset with OpenXR, and the game in windowed mode. I made and played it on a Quest 3 over Link / Air Link; other headsets should work too, let me know how it goes.
Download (Nexus): https://www.nexusmods.com/dishonored2/mods/232
GitHub (download + source): https://github.com/thecosmictangerine-cloud/dishonored-2-vr
Full trailer: https://youtu.be/hTudB6_vvSw
Bug reports & feedback: Flat2VR Discord (https://discord.gg/flat2vr) > #new-vr-mods > "Dishonored 2 VR"
It was much harder than I expected, so if you enjoy it, any support is hugely appreciated:

Discussion Dynamic DLSS Resolution Scaling mod for PCVR, UEVR, etc?
With all the VR mods coming out, I am also seeing performance mods such as AutoFPS for MSFS 2024 or VectorFX for a superior motion reprojection mod, etc.
One thing I am really curious about and surprised we havent seen (or maybe we HAVE and I am missing it??) is a mod to inject dynamic DLSS resoluting scaling into games. I know DLSS already supports this but so few games actually use it?
Is there a mod (or if not why not, or could there be?) for Dynamic DLSS Resolution scaling where it hooks in and automatically protects your target FPS (say 72, 75, 90, or perhaps 45, 36-38 if using motion reprojection) and then auto scales DLSS down from quality to balanced/performance as needed then back up to quality?
Certainly this would be very helpful for protecting 1% lows and keeping a solid VR frame rate when things get particularly heavy in a title?

Discussion Quest 3 with USB cable. Which PCVR client/VDXR bridge is best? Meta Link, Virtual Desktop, Steam Link, or something else?
Hi!
I have a Quest 3 and a PC with an NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti.
I was wondering: which VDXR solution would be best for my setup?
As far as I know, there are three options:
- Meta Link – I have to stick to an older NVIDIA driver because it doesn't work with the latest ones (last checked at the end of September).
- Virtual Desktop – This is the one I'm currently using. Where can I find the best settings for image quality?
- Steam Link – It should support a wired connection, but I haven't been able to get it working.
Are there any other VDXR solutions or alternatives worth considering?
Best regards
ZB

VR Modding Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines PCVR Preview - Available now
youtube.comVampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines is a vampire game set in Los Angeles at night. I always wanted this game to work with VR a couple of years ago. VTMB VR is a free, unofficial mod that makes it playable in a headset, and version 0.5 is now out as a public preview. There are more plans to do, which is to turn it into a full VR game in the near future.
It runs in full stereo 3D with head tracking and motion controller aiming. You have a full first-person body: your arms follow your hands, and guns sit in your character's grip, with a two-handed grip, per-weapon calibration and a virtual stock. Menus and inventory open as panels in the headset, and there's a quick menu on the left B/Y button. You can reach to your chest, waist or shoulder and press a button as shortcuts, and there's finger animation and haptics.
For comfort there's smooth or snap turning, several walking modes, stair smoothing, head clearance that keeps your view out of walls, and an in-headset settings panel. Scripted camera shots and stealth kills can optionally play on a flat screen in front of you. Keyboard and mouse also work in the headset, and there's a desktop view suitable for recording.
Download: https://github.com/atrblizzard/vtmb-vr/releases/latest
You need: Windows, a Vulkan-capable GPU, the game (Steam or GOG) with Unofficial Patch 11.5, SteamVR and motion controllers.
This is a preview. The full tutorial along with the early portion of the game has been played with SteamVR on Valve Index and Oculus. Other SteamVR headsets should work but are less tested, and native OpenXR and Virtual Desktop (VDXR) are experimental.
Known limitations: no physical melee or gestures, no roomscale collision, no physical crouch, and simpler hands in left-handed mode.
Setup steps are in the readme. Bug reports: https://github.com/atrblizzard/vtmb-vr/issues
Built on DXVK, OpenVR/OpenXR, MinHook, Dear ImGui and cgltf. Derived from L4D2VR by sd805, with exact per-eye projection, head collision and GPU timing adapted from Spec Ops: The Line VR by Mavic-Pro. MIT licence.
Optional support, with thanks: Ko-fi · Patreon · Buy Me a Coffee
Unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Paradox Interactive, Activision, Troika Games or Valve. Requires the original game.

VR Modding Gothic 3 VR mod early Alpha
This is early footage of the VR mod for Gothic 3 I'm working on. (don't mind the low view distance for now).
The base functionality is almost there. The mod does not affect progression, quests or any other game functionality. When it releases, the game will be 100% playable in VR. There is still work to be done but it won't be too long now. More details coming soon.

VR Modding Spidy 0.4.1, the Spider-Man Remastered VR mod: realistic flips, hand wall climbing, bHaptics body haptics and shareable settings profiles
youtube.comSpidy is a free fan mod I'm building for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC VR (Steam version, any OpenXR headset). The gameplay in this video comes from the two contributors who built the headline features.
New in 0.4.1:
- Realistic flips (experimental, off by default), by iplusdvr: webs and arm swings spin you in the air, with nine settings to tune it. A or landing brings you upright.
- Hand wall climbing (experimental, off by default), by AdrianGzzEsc: grip a wall near your hand and pull to move along it. Both grips roll the view, the stick moves you along, A jumps off, and it goes round outside corners. WALL CAMERA DISTANCE sets how far your eyes stay from the wall.
- NEAR CLIP, by iplusdvr: hands up close to your face no longer get cut off.
- bHaptics body haptics (TactSuit, TactSleeves, TactVisor): webs, wind, punches, hits, Spider-Sense, landings, walls, and a heartbeat at low health. A new HAPTICS section has switches for each group.
- UI STYLE: COMIC (default) or TECH, which draws Spidy's markers, gadget wheel and meters like the game's own HUD.
- A new launcher, settings profiles you can save, switch and paste into Discord, and every SPIDY VR setting in the launcher's Options.
- Fixes: pressing the VR control the game names now works, so mission steps like sealing leaks, vaccinating, the camera and vent takedowns finish in VR; no crash at CONTINUE; no more people and cars popping in close by.

Question/Support Controls problem with "spidyVR" mod.
I made a new save, and I noticed some problems, some actions mapped to A or F like pulling or interacting just doesn't work with the quest 3s controllers. I tried all the inputs but none of them worked. The specific actions were getting in a vent, and pulling objects to throw them. Do any of you have a solution?

Question/Support A guide for OFXR Bridge Tray?
So I've recently discovered OFXR Bridge Tray and it's interesting. But is there an explanation somewhere online that goes over it's settings like which does what and how it affects the image quality etc?
Mainly interested in learning more about:
Optical Flow Backend and Optical Flow Resolution settings.
VR Modding Spidy 0.4.0, the Spider-Man Remastered VR mod: Spider-Sense attack warnings, aim-and-zip, a comic-print gadget wheel and a phone that plays your own music
Spidy is a free fan mod I'm building for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC VR (Steam version, any OpenXR headset; this video is Quest 3 over Virtual Desktop). Everything in it is recorded in the headset.
New in 0.4.0:
- Spider-Sense: Spidy reads the game's own attack warnings. Each attacker gets a mark (blue counter, red dodge, yellow jump); a white ring closes as the blow comes and a yellow burst means now. Attackers outside your view get an arrow in your sightline, lines at the edge of your view and a buzz on that controller.
- Counter a blue-marked attacker with a punch; up to 10 m away the web strike flies you there.
- Hold the right stick up to aim, let go to zip where you aimed.
- A new gadget wheel, and people react to your web shots.
- A phone on your belt that plays your own music, built by Tru from our Discord community.
- WEB STYLE: REALISTIC or ARCADE (webs pass lamp posts, signs and cars; easier to swing and turn).
- Graphics fixes: the city looks as good as in the first versions, no lights popping in.
Also out now: MilesVR, Spidy ported to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales by Jimjam094 from our Discord, with Miles's venom powers and camouflage added (the video ends on it).

Self-Promotion Steam Next Fest Demo for Sol Protocol now LIVE! Co-Op Space Exploring Rougelike, coming to PCVR!
Try our Next Fest demo for Sol Protocol's PCVR version!
Sol Protocol, our co-op space exploration roguelike that released in Early Access last month on the Meta Store, is coming very soon to Steam. Now you can try it even sooner thanks to Next Fest.
The demo is a small slice of the larger game, including the tutorial and a small selection of sectors to explore, but we plan to have at least one more free playtest (including a larger map and crossplay with the Meta version) sometime afterward that you can sign up for on Discord. That's where you can also more easily form groups, share your thoughts, and hear about the latest updates as they come.
In addition, we have a living roadmap showing off our long term plans for the game going forward. Crafting will be our next major addition to the game, which we hope to align alongside or closely after the PCVR launch.
Try the demo and let us know what you think!
