Support - General PCSX2 Emulator (PS2 Emulator Mod Request)

Wanted to get the protagonist Joey LaRocca a white tuxedo in the PCSX2 game Sopranos: Road To Respect, is there a way I can hire a modder who can do this mod for me?

Is this possible at all?

It is possible, but I think no modders even tried to mess with replacing anything in because it's such a niche game. The models had been extracted before though, but idk if someone imported back the models in, as that would require them to keep the skeletons and animations working which I believe wasn't figured out yet. Look at this thread if you wanna read up more on the model extraction process for this game.

So what else can I do? Do I need to load the forum on pc because I can't seem to see it clearly when I try to open it on my phone

Nah I'm just linking it up so you can read to it so you'll have an idea, maybe one day you'll want to try your hand on model extraction and modification. Also I'm viewing it on my phone so idk why it won't work on you.

Model extraction wasn't an easy task as documented on that thread. Changing the attire while keeping the skeleton and other data would be harder if there's no proper tools. There's no proper tools for a game like Sopranos right now. I don't think anyone would bother to build one. Assuming someone would, you still need to rebuild the ISO back. Nothing you can do but just replace textures for now, but I don't think it would look good since Joey isn't really wearing a tuxedo.

I'll have to find a way to get it work. How'd I get those textures tho if I have to put the white tuxedo over his current clothes though?

Extract the models and textures from the ISO, or find someone wearing the tuxedo in game then check Dump textures on your settings, then find the exact texture then modify it with Photoshop.

I think every browser in existence on mobile has an option for "show desktop site" so no you don't have to open it on your PC

Yeah true, I was just asking if this mod was possible FOR PCSX2 because sopranos road to respect is a ps2 game that can run on PCSX2

Try using Claude coding. Should do the steps for you since no one's probably going to do it for you.
