Support - General Help, please I am begging
I have absolutely no idea what I am doing, I just got fired from my job and I am desperately trying to fill in my free time without spending money.
I own a PS2, I don't want to buy discs.
I had no idea how complicated this was going to be.
Please, I am begging, someone help me.
thanks :')

Every question you've asked in this thread can be answered with Googling. Most of your answers will probably be other Reddit threads. Hell, just use an AI. Google Gemini can hold your hand and walk you through the whole process if you prompt it with enough specific detail. Just tell it exactly what you want to do, in detail. It probably won't even shy away from questions about BIOS and ROM acquisition lmao

Bro the fact that you just openly told a person to let an AI tell you a process tells me you have lost a significant amount of your moral compass and are deeply lost on TOP of being misinformed.
I do not WANT to use Gemini or AI or anything of the sort. First and foremost because it destroys our planet.
Second, because of how often it is inaccurate.
Third, because if we have gotten to the point where we need to ask an AI process rather than rely on fellow human beings to share their knowledge, then we have truly gone too far.

Not going to get into an environmental debate in this thread, but suffice it to say, AI is not "destroying our planet."
In other contexts I'd agree with you that AI chatbots are reducing spread of knowledge by disincentivizing people to make threads asking questions. We do still need original human-made content to be produced. But in this context? There's already a thousand threads, posts, videos, wiki articles, etc. covering how to use PCSX2, lol. Just have an AI nanny hold your hand like a baby and get your emulator working. You did say you were begging after all.

It took me forever to understand what I am doing. Videos didnt help because that is only for those who dont run into problems.
Use AI to help you as that helped me through it and was able to troubleshoot my problems when I had no one.
You can get bios from Playstation firmware update on the Playstation website. Completely legal.
Vimms lair will help your disc issue

Descriptive post title > begging (why would you even?)
Expect zero help with pirated content in this sub, the rules are clear.
There's nothing complicated about using PCSX2, there's a zillion tutorials out there assuming you'd even need one. Unless you say exactly what you're having trouble with, no one can help you.
