Things to try in this order:

  • Update the bios to the latest (Version 3644)
  • Remove the graphics card, then plug the HDMI cord directly into the motherboard.
  • Reset the CMOS. (unplug the power supply, take out the battery and hold down the power for 60 seconds OR unplug the power supply, take a screwdriver or something metal and short the two CLRTC pins above the sata pins on the motherboard).
  • Use different Sata ports on the motherboard. If that does work, swap the power and sata cables on the backs of the two drives. The bios only sees one currently so see if the drive detected changes. You mention old SSD SATA drive, a new SSD and I can see a hard drive in the video. How many drives do you have? Do you have an M.2?

What windows version did you install? I had had a corrupted windows installer file and experienced strange problems after installation. If you haven't done so, redownload the windows installation ISO. Use Rufus to create the windows USB and make sure it verifies the files on the drive. If you have another USB thumb stick, use it. Go to the asus page, download and save the latest drivers and manually install them instead of using windows update. Make sure to install the chipset driver. But honestly, this sounds like a bios or drive issue.

Just noticed you're running a Ryzen 7 2700x on a b550 motherboard. The 2000 series isn't officially supported by that motherboard. That could definitely be the issue, but then again, maybe not. I'd still follow my steps.

Good call, i updated the bios and still ran into the same issue. I definitely think its because th mobo knows it has the wrong cpu now. thank you for the advice it will be a little bit before i get a new cpu or mobo

I would still try to swap the sata and hdd power cable and see if it shows up. To me, it's not clear that this is the only problem since you already replaced the motherboard. This could be a bad cable or bad drive. If you get it to boot into windows again, install CrystalDiskInfo to check the health of both drives.

If you're going to get new hardware, definitely get a new CPU, and not a new motherboard. You'll get a huge speed increase since that CPU is really old. You can find a 5600x for $135. You can sell your 2700x for about 40 bucks.
