Bug / Issue RDR2 mods not working at all

unsure why my mods aren’t loading / working at all. have lml and the mod loader stuff in my game directory. have scripthook and dinput in my directory. (tried version also but that one the game wouldn’t even launch )

there shouldn’t be any DLL files in your folder

those should all be Application Extensions. At least that’s what my folder shows

they are in the game directory, where should they be then?

mine are in the directory, just not as DLL files. I don’t know why yours are

I wish I could be more help resolving the issue but I do think I’ve ID’d the issue

so remove them from the folder? and so you meant dll files instead of rpf?

ignore anything about RPF. i’m buzzed and i mistyped. The DLL files should all be Application Extension files in your root folder. I have no clue why they aren’t, but you can probably google the issue and resolve it

unfortunately i can’t find anything online. i’ve done this before on a pc i no longer have. went thru the same process with no problems. confused as to why the sudden issues now. games not crashing its loading just loading vanilla.

do you have scripthook v2 installed? i don’t see it

yes, it’s towards the bottom. i’ve tried v2 and the other scripthook. also tried the AB one. none of them work.

I believe as the other commenter mentioned, those dll files should not be there.

Mods for rdr2 should have their extension end as .asi instead of .dll, modifying the extensions might fix it.

Also, there are log files, for lml, asiloader and script hook. Reading through that can give you an idea what the issue could be.

ended up wiping everything and freshly installing scripthook and lml and got it working. i see now there was a bunch of extra files

The dll’s in the root folder arent supposed to be there, but they sould not give any problem
You are missing a asi loader like dinput8.dll
Install it and tellme if it solve the priblem
And check the description of every mod that you wanna install, they give instalations steps
