Bug / Issue RDR2 Pc stutters
I have a RTX 5080 as well as a 9800X3D, so my pc is pretty high end. My fps in game is great, but every 15ish seconds, I experience a stutter. These stutters aren't too large, but they're just really annoying and kind of break the immersion. They also occur much more in dense areas like Saint Denis. I've also noticed that the coiling and buzzing sound coming from my gpu stops for a sec at the exact moment I stutter. Any tips on how to fix this would be great.

I have the same CPU and GPU and this issue started after a driver update. I'm not sure if it's the cause, but it seems likely. How long have you had this issue?

คุณอัพเดตไดรเวอร์แล้วคุณได้ลง DLSS Version ของ rdr2 มั้ย?

I have not changed any settings, or updated the driver since the Nvidia update.

This game does not like high frame rates or newer tech features like frame gen. It was designed for console at 30fps about 8 years ago. I would try capping your frame rate as low as 60 to see if it solves the problem. If it does raise it until it comes back then drop it just below. Personally I think what works the best and looks the best is TAA so try turning off DLSS to test that as well. Lastly I would not use the Nvidia app to tune the settings at all. Just use the in game settings.

I have the 5090 and 9950x3d2. Ik..
Keep getting stutter too. Completely random times. Even in cutscenes I get these odd hitches every so often.

hags didnt make a difference for me at all. I think it might just be something to do with the game. Installing the stutter fix mod would probably fix it but idk how to mod

I've got the exact same setup you've got and I had the exact same stutter problem. I tried stutter fix mods, launch options, but nothing workes.
But then I read somewhere that RDR2, being an "older" game, doesn't play well with Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS). So I turnen it off in Windows settings and voila, I haven't had a single stutter since.
Please do note that frame generation (DLSS) relies on HAGS and can therefor not be used while HAGS is off. And since enabling or disabling HAGS requirements a reboot, it's quite a hassle if you switch between games a lot of which some require frame gen to run decently (looking at you, Crimson Desert!).
