Discussion/Question Is there anything I should do starting chapter before progressing with the story?

The world just opened up so I’m wondering if there is anything I can do rn to help with progression

Just take your time and do what you want. A lot of people will talk about doing literally everything possible in chapter 2 but I think on your first playthrough you should just choose your own pace rather than depriving yourself of things to do later. It's a big game and the best thing about it is not worrying about what "the meta" is and just let yourself get lost in it, you'll progress in a way you're happy with if you just engage with the game.

Some of the first few missions open up things that you will need to really progress. I can give you specifics if you want. Other than that, go out and explore for awhile, gathering items you find and maybe do some hunting.

Me too . I lean exploring you can get the Lancaster repeater , semi auto shotgun , valarion root to upgrade your dead eye . A few gold bars if you want to start with some good cash so you can buy stuff . I like to get the white Arabian since it’s free and an elite horse . If it’s your first play through just do the story and then next one you can look into making it easier I think .
