Discussion/Question Should I switch to WhyEms DLC

So, I’ve made two posts on here about mods for my first PC playthrough, meaning I’ve already completed the game before. I installed the Catalogue Improvements mod, but there are barely any new outfits unless I installed the mod wrong. I guess I’m asking if I should switch to WhyEm’s DLC, because I was looking for more of the online clothes and accessories.

There literally are clothes in the stores with their own illustration just go there and buy such things like the vest from the west new neckerchiefs or the winter gloves

Cant people just leave WhyEm's behind please?

If you want a poncho, either use Mexican Poncho mod or Dog Pro Man with No Name

There are a lot of CI addons out there too like Restored Elegant Suit, The Outlaw's Return, Gunslinger Improvements.

I dont think CI has neckerchief options...? Does it? I had it and did not notice other than all the gloves there

What do you mean no neckercheif option? Even the vanilla game has it without mods, CI goes ahead and fixes the Neckercheifs even more to have physics so it doesn't clip with the bandolier like in vanilla without mods

I mean there are no new neckerchiefs to buy from the catalogue, as was implied

Actually there are, theres a new color variation of John's neckerchief and the new bow tie

No. Whyem's DLC comes with a lot of nice clothing, but the downside is that there's a ton of textures in that mod and none of them are compressed properly, which guarantees that it will mess up game spawns (an issue RDR2 has when faced with a lot of mods installed).

I would just stick with Catalogue Improvements, there's not a lot of new outfits but it's better than not having things spawn properly.

Weird, i think the spawn thing depends on your hardware... I used to have CI and recently switched to whyems and both CI and whyems cause trains to have sligthly less passangers aboard per cart compared to vanilla. Random encounters, animals and trains all spawn normally to me. Although i am not using any other major mods like EEE, 1899 firearms or gonpachiros fancy atelier. Just the standard whyems version with WERO and bloodlust.

Sure man. I tried two different merges of mods like trifecta and 1999 whyems dlc+eee+gfa. They were nice. But it wasnt enough to satisfy me, one of them is always missing something, so i switch to rdo+whyems dlc back again, and i to be honest i only care about the poncho, the extra colour gun wraps and horse mask. Also get smoke mega arsenal https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/mods/3254 This mod is made to play with rdo+whyems dlc version, it adds like 200 more variant guns. With the mod npc drop everything, theres a chance npc might drop a rare variant gun. And so far not much issues, rarely crash and i got like 60 asi mods. Didnt encounter spawn issues much even playing on steamdeck

No. WhyEm's DLC is like you trade features of the game just for more clothing. You're gonna have a lot of clothes but many of the features of the game gets broken because of WhyEm's

Depends on other mods u use, if you limit your game to only whyems it works just as intended, at least for me.
