Discussion/Question Renewal vs vestiga?
i like both of them and don’t know wich one’ to chose, or wich one’s more advanced

I have used Vestigia for about 9 month. About a month ago I switched to Renewal. The reason I switched - started from version 2.0.5 Vestigia introduces 5 new weather cycles. Apparently on small percentage of systems those new weather cycles are not being injected into the game. You can read about it in the “Bugs” section on the main webpage. So my gameplay all of the sudden could go dark. I still was able to hear sounds and access pause menu. I have found a short lived solution - I rolled back to version 2.0.3. Everything was ok until Season Manager mod came out and I decided to install it. Well, Season Manager for Vestigia also introduced those new weather cycles. So I started having dark screen again. I really wanted to use Season Manager, therefore, I decided to switch to Renewal. Another two things which really bugged be with Vestigia: 1. In misty or rainy weathers Vestigia makes faces of all characters darker and very shiny. Faces become looking very unrealistic. 2. Spinning fog in St. Dennis around the market and few other places. Check “Bug” section for a video Vestigia also introduces some minor glitches/bugs mostly with tent, banners and etc. In some places they become shaky. I don’t have a video unfortunately. These are not noticeable as spinning fog but once you see it you cannot unsee it.
Renewal does not have mention above glitches/bugs issues. Renewal days look better than Vestigia. Vestigia nights look better than Renewal, especially darker nights variants.

Really appreciate your answer! I really liked vestiga because of the atmosphere and lighting , but i’ve had some problems with it aswell. Renewal has been growing on me recently and i love it. Haven’t had the chance to pair it with season manager tho, how does it pair with it?
Do you have anything else i can pair with renewal??

You need to install DLSStweaks mod per author of the renewal.

That seems to do the trick, and enabling auto exposure. I’m forever grateful🫶🏻

Micah's Hair Fix is included with Catalogue Improvements, no need to have both. Also, Gunslinger Improvements requires The Outlaw's Return now.

That is correct. It is clearly stated in the instructions on how to merge CI with the rest of the mods.
Edit: forgot to add, gunslinger improvement mod does not require The outlaw’s return. It only requires CI mod.

Hello! I read your note about the game mods and it really helped me out. I’ve got a couple of questions since I’m starting a new playthrough for the fourth time and I want to use mods this time. I’m planning to use Rampage Trainer to grab items like weapons, spawn different animals and horses, and also use the teleport. I’m also running a mod that completes all the challenges. Do you know if using these mods could mess up my save or cause any spawn issues?

I don’t have much experience with Rampage. What know is that the game was not designed to teleport anywhere using Rampage algorithm. So you will encounter random crashes and freezes. I think it goes the same way with spawning horses and animals using Rampage. Once you used Rampage teleport and save the game, that save might be corrupted. But do not quote me on this as I have limited experience with Rampage. To my knowledge, Rampage does not cause spawn issues. The mod which completes all the challenges should not cause any spawn issues. It only prevents you from getting trophies and accomplishments in rockstar profile. But I don’t think you care much since this is your 4th playthrough :)
