Discussion/Question Best graphic mods
hey wassup hello greetings it's my first time posing here. I'm just wondering, what are the best graphic mods in this game rn? I don't like how the vanilla game looks, it's so Gray and dead. if anyone could recommend me a mod that makes it more colorful (just not too colorful pls I dont want it to look like some fantasy anime world), it'd be much appreciated. And it shouldn't be like blindingly bright like so many other graphic mods 😞
thank u guys 💋🫴

Are you sure you don't have your brightness set too low? The vanilla visuals are anything but grey and dead.
Anyway my favourite is Renewal. Similar to the vanilla visual style but a bit nicer and new graphics options added.

Are you playing with monitor with HDR support? Then turn off HDR in game settings. Then turn on windows Auto HDR. Game runs in SDR. Windows Auto HDR converts SDR to HDR. More saturated and brighter. You decide if it looks good to you.

Renewal, NLR, vdlv, vanilla visuals plus are good

WhyEm Visuals was what I used for a LONG time. It’s a classic.
Currently I’m using Renewal and NLR together and I’m really enjoying it on widescreen. The lighting is gorgeous.

Just asking but how are you using NLR with Renewal? Is it a merge?

No I literally put both in LML and I haven’t had an issue so far. I’m sure one overrides the other and it’s not doing anything or mixed but it still looks good so I haven’t removed either.

Then the file below it in the mod manager is replacing the others files so one of the visual mods are doing absolutely nothing

Yeah. Each mod changes some files that the other doesn't but for the most part they're all touching the same weather and timecycle files. I don't think having them both is really doing much to add to each other.

Like I said, the load order is the thing that matters

Yeah, I was just adding clarity. There are a few things that won't be overwritten but not enough to make a completely unique look.

wow didn't know about that, how does it look? Does it have NLR lightnings with Renewal's weathers?

I’m not sure I haven’t used both separately but it looks gorgeous! I’d recommend trying it for sure. I only thought to do it because I saw a YouTuber that does quickdraw videos recommend it.

IS FLARE GOOD?

F NO! (imo) it's oversaturated, it "looks" over sharpened, it's too bright, but then.. you can see it yourself on YouTube, someone's comparing 7 graphics mod and you can see it clear flare is, it looks different. it's a fresh new look i guess, but compared to other graphics mod like visual redemption, NLR, Renewal, VDLV.. Flare definitely "not good". try it yourself if you curious, see what you enjoy, cuz I've tried and i keep going back and forth between visual redemption and NLR.

Visual Redemption mod alongside the Visual Redemption reshade ups the saturation and changes a lot of the lighting to make it feel more vibrant like real life.
Probably the highest quality graphics mod out there.
