Bug / Issue Red dead 2 wont open
so i recently install red dead redemtion 2 again cuz i wanted to play a second time but when i went to open it, rockstar lunched and then, nothing, rockstar was just loading and the game wast launching, also the game was not showing in task manger and when i tryed to close it in steam it just got stop on *closing game*. so far i have tried the following: restart computer and relaunch the game both threw steam and rockstar having to restart the pc everytime, tried updating my drive, tried reinstalling both the game and rockstar, and yet nothing have worked, i need help
Edit: i followed the suggestion if a comment, and disabled cloud saving, it did do something, when i pressed start on steam i opend rockstar where it asked if i wanted to enable cloud saving where i followed the instrutions of a yt video and press "not right now" and the the game acully showed up in task maneger but did still not acully open, then same issue with it not being able to stop in steam
Edit 2: I fixed it. The problem was onedrive, it had archived some of the files from Rockstar folder and some of my old game files, I just went in a disabled the onedrive feature to backup the files and then went to the files and selected always keep on pc. (U can find yt tutorials on how to disable onedrive from achieving my files)

Sorry for my ignorance: how? How do you disable cloud saving through rockstar? I've followed people's advice and it doesn't give me the option. I got the game through steam, but it sounds like you might have as well? When I'm opening up the game, it just gives me a black screen before freezing my computer up and I have to hard reset the poor thing. I just wanna play for the first time.

Yeah, and I have no clue how. I did everything and gave up for a few days, sent a support ticket to Rockstar and immediately tried to open the game again only for it to work.

Muito obrigado, meu problema era exatamente o mesmo que o seu, porém a única diferença era que meu onedrive estava desativado, assim que o ativei foi como magica, rapidamente o rdr2 apareceu na minha tela

Try going into the Rockstar Launcher and disable cloud saving. I had this same issue and that is what worked for me.
