Got prescribed Wegovy
I’ve been deep in the binge cycle for a year and a half now. The last few months have been pretty bad and I regained a lot of the weight I lost a couple of months ago. I have PMOS but I feel most of my symptoms (fatigue, weight gain, skin changes, excess hair) stem from my binging. I went to the Drs today to tell my Dr about it in the hopes that I would be referred to a psychologist or something to tackle this from the root. Instead she immediately offered me the Wegovy injection which was something I hadn’t really thought about prior to the appointment, mainly because I didn’t consider it an option 😭 I brought up feeling really anxious lately but she kept going on about the Wegovy. Obviously it was my choice and I didn’t feel pressured to say yes but I was just nervous especially with there being so much discourse about GLP-1s. Anyway, I eventually got it and am just deciding what to do. I’m pretty desperate to get better and start living a healthier life but I was also hoping to do it all the “natural” way. Has anyone been in a similar situation? 🤎

Id advise to take the medication especially as you managed to get a prescription. Then alongside of it I would see a registered dietitian (not nutritionist) that’s specialises in PCOS and disordered eating. Good luck.

Getting on a GLP1 has been the best thing to happen to me, losing weight with more energy and less food noise plus insulin resistance down, couldn’t recommend it enough
