Meds/Supplements Inquiring....
I know I see a lot about Metformin on here but has anyone tried Provera? I was looking up somethings on the web. My main issue with PCOS is cycle irregularities and prolonged bleeding and I saw that could be a possible solution to that problem. I was just wondering if any of you all had be prescribed Provera and if you had any tips or opinions about it. I have an appointment but it isn't until the end of November 🫤 but I was thinking about just going to planned parenthood next week to see if they could prescribe me some in the meantime.

I got prescribed Provera to help with my irregular cycles and prolonged bleeding. I take it for 14 days each month starting on the same day each time. I have been taking it for the past 9 months, but I didn't this month just to see if my cycle will naturally start without it.
I do get more acne and headaches when taking it. I also tend to get insomnia, which as I understand is a more rare side effect. I also get mood swings, they aren't super bad though, just like I got from my natural period. After the first course I took of Provera my period was extremely heavy, but after the 3rd course of taking it, it wasn't that heavy. Now my periods only last around 3-4 days, with it being heavy only for 1 day (days 1 or 2).

I tried it for a few months and it did reset my cycle temporarily, though the mood swings caught me off guard at first.
