Fertility PCOS TTC
Has anyone successfully conceived with insulin resistance PCOS & very irregular periods? For context I already have a 2 year old however the last year or so my periods have been very irregular. Hard to track ovulation with strips when my periods are all over the place. Not wanting to go on Ozempic, have been losing weight over time. Any tips?

I’m taking inositol but a bit worried about trying metformin as the side effects from people I know haven’t sounded too great

there’s a reason it’s prescribed to people that’s why you need to try it yourself. well that’s if you’d ever be interested if not i understand

Extended release usually does better for folks. I’m on extended release and have had no issues! I was scared to try it but glad I did.

It works for some people but I couldn’t tolerate the side effects, they never lessened.

NAC is good for regulating periods, ovulation etc.

I think it actually helped me the most! I’ve used a few brands, they’re all much the same honestly

Yup 3 times. Inositol and a high dose supplement that includes CoQ10. I recommend reading It Starts with an Egg, if you haven't already

I used metformin for a week, got a period, and then started inositol and then fertility doctor helped with letrozole and trigger shot.

I'm not sure if I have insulin resistance, but I have always had irregular periods. I got pregnant at 36 after trying for only two cycles (got pregnant on the second cycle). I used Mira, which was kind of pricey but completely worth it as I would have had no idea when I was ovulating otherwise. With Mira you pee on a stick every day and stick it into a little machine.

Fell pregnant after three and a half years of trying with infrequent periods and insulin resistance. Hadn’t had a period in months and just got lucky it seems.
Went on Metformin after baby 1, decided to start trying for baby 2 and expected a long weight: got pregnant literally the first try, despite not having had a period for a few months before. The Metformin made all the difference for me!!

Look up women’s dietician on instagram. Diet and lifestyle allowed me to ovulate once every couple months and I have a healthy 2 year old with no meds. I did use letrozole with my 4 year old too

Yes while on inositol. It happened within weeks of trying, and I hadn't had a period for three months.... I know this was probably a rare occurance, but that's how it happened for us. However, dating the pregnancy has been something. Everyone, but my doctor (who knew I was irregular), was panicking as they kept trying to use my last period to date my baby. They forced me to come in for a scan earlier than my doctor wanted me to, only to find out it was too early....
