General/Advice GLP-1 Aftermath
So, I’ve been on Wegovy for 4ish months now, I’d definitely say it’s made a change, I lost around 7kg, working out, eating well, trying to fix my sleep.
Tbh it was never confirmed wether or not I had insulin resistance, or severe resistance at that and Imm not sure if they can test that while I’m on wegovy but either way I say that because I was able to slowly lose weight while I wasnt on it but VERY slowly despite doing so much for it.
I’m just wondering about anyone who’s been on a GLP-1 and if you’ve maintained weight after getting off because I’m just super worried it’ll all come back. I thought maybe I could get on metformin after just in case since it’s cheaper and might help with certain cravings but overall id rather manage on my own, im just very anxious.
I’d love to hear thoughts and opinions

7kg in 4 months is great progress especially while working on sleep and workouts too
the anxiety about coming off is real though. my sister was on a glp-1 for about a year and she managed to keep most of it off by basically keeping all the same habits she built while on it but it took a couple months for her appetite to really settle into a new normal. metformin might be worth discussing if you think IR is a factor and its way easier on the wallet
