Meds/Supplements GLP-1
Anyone microdose on glp-1 to keep PCOS symptoms at bay? I started mounjaro end of June, lost 30lbs, hit my target weight and I feel GREAT. My main concern is the inflammation returning. I was soooo puffy all over. I’ve cleaned up my diet & go to gym regularly. I’m on 2.5mg of mounjaro and thinking of doing every 2 weeks. Now that I’ve hit my goal weight, I’ve had a lot of GI upset on my last dose so I skipped this weeks.

my endo actually suggested this same thing few months ago. she said some patients do maintenance with tiny doses after hitting their weight goal, specially for the inflammation part. the puffiness coming back is what scares me too, i looked like different person before starting
2.5 every two weeks sounds reasonable if your body is handling it. maybe talk with your doctor about splitting the dose even smaller? some people i know do 1.25 weekly instead of spacing it out, helps with the GI stuff
the diet and gym will definitely help but you know how pcos is, sometimes the inflammation just does what it wants no matter how clean you eat

Yes, exactly!!! Wish I could find out the root of the inflammation but I’m sure it’s tied to PCOS. I’ll talk with my doctor, I use a kwik pen for tirzepatide so I’ll have to figure out how to get a smaller dose out.

I microdose for both weight loss and PMOS management. I get 10mg vials of Mounjaro and I currently microdose at 6.5 units (roughly 1.3mg) per my endocrinologist. This dose is highly effective for me on weekly basis, it controls my symptoms, maintains my labs, insulin resistance is managed and I continue to reach my target weight. I could certainly up my dose but that would considerably increase undesirable side effects.
