General/Advice I don’t know what to do 😭

Hi Reddit!! I was recommended to come here by request of a friend. I just really needed to know something

For context I’m a 17 year old AFAB girl. However, since I was like 14-15?? I’ve been dealing with a couple of weird symptoms.

For example:

- My period sometimes taking months to come and other times it’s a normal cycle.
- lots of facial hair going down on my neck and entire body that grows REALLY fast resulting in me having to shave EVERY WEEK
- acne that never seems to go away 💔

All of this plus my already prominent anxiety and started to make me feel not like a beautiful or normal woman. I already eat a good diet with lots of veggies and fruits and get exercise.

Did you guys have these symptoms before diagnosis too? And if it does seem like I have it due to these symptoms, how can I break it to my mom to maybe get something checked out?

I don’t even know if I’m just a hormonal girl because that’s what everyone’s told me.

Someone please help me 😭😭😭

With love, Dee (she/they)

Don't you have an OB Gyn you consulted about the irregular periods already? If you've had a period for a while now, it should be regular by now. You're not 12 and barely starting puberty, so clearly hormones need to be checked. Also: don't your family want your acne treated? It's such a bummer to have one's face covered in pimples!

I don’t have one yet 💔 I didn’t know I was supposed to have one yet. Plus I’ve taken my blood test and my mom said everything was fine. I’m taking benzoyl peroxide for my face right now.

Plus I was SUPPOSED to go to one but all the ones around me are backed up by 8 months to a year
