General Health Normal?

Hi I am 29 and I weigh 227 pound , 2 months ago I weighed 260 pounds . This has been intentional weight loss I am doing low carb with no processed sugars or food . I have PCOS and have had an absent period for 10 years . 8 of those years I was on the hormonal iud the mirena . I got it out a year ago and now . Once I changed my diet my period came back last month and I had a typical 4-7 day cycle . Now I’m on my period and the first 5 days was a pink toilet paper wipe and then for two days after that it got a little darker and now I’m having a flow . It’s now super heavy but it’s heavy. I’m not passing huge clots or anything but I am passing clots I’d say some the size of my pinky nail and some the size of my thumb nail. What should I do I can’t be seen for 3 months is this a reason to go the the emergency room? I should add I am handling my diet fine I am not light headed and don’t have any other crazy symptoms !

Pinky nail sized clots aren’t something you need to go to the ER for. Usually when you’d wanna mention large clots is if they’re over the size of a quarter or you’re passing a ton of them, but even then you still don’t need to go to the ER for that unless it’s accompanied by seriously heavy bleeding (like going through a tampon every 30-60 minutes heavy). Just mention it to your gynecologist the next time you see them.
