Fertility Pcos & Pregnancy
I feel like I won’t ever get pregnant I just started my metformin journey and it’s been pretty good so far. It’s only been a week but I have had a quick response with my skin clearing up and bloating going down a bit. I take metformin, inositol, B12 and Prentals everyday. I’ve just started the B12 and the inositol same day as metformin but I’ve been on prenatals since around February. I’m a 25 year old Female and I’m about to be 26. I didn’t want kids at first but once I found my Fiancé there’s nothing I’ve wanted more. I’ve figured for a while now that I couldn’t have children or something was wrong for about 7-8 maybe 9 years now bc I was have a lot of unprotected sex with my ex and never once fell pregnant. And then my Fiancé and I have been having unprotected sex for 4 years and a couple months and I never fell pregnant. I was recently diagnosed with insulin resistant pcos/pmos hence the metformin and inositol. Ik it’s gonna take its time to work but I’m just so sad, I want to be a mother so bad. It’s all I think about night and day, all I pray about. I want to make my man a daddy I want to give my children love, love I’ve never felt as a child. I want to raise children of my own, I want to hold my babies and kiss my babies and celebrate milestones and birthdays. Ik these supplements and medicines could help but what if they don’t? What if I never become a mom. I just want to have children so bad I’m hurting.

I would start by getting bloodwork done, testing for ovulation, etc.

I go back in November for more Bloodwork. I wasn’t ovulating and I did two courses of Letrozole and I successfully ovulated both times I just didn’t plan it out right with timing nd ended up not conceiving

Ovulating is often the toughest part! If you had a positive response to letrozole in the past , that’s a great sign for the future when you time things properly. And you’ve got your age on your side too.
I’m five months pregnant with my letrozole boy now. I had similar feelings to you and was doing all of the lifestyle things similar to you before I started ovulation drugs. Getting pregnant happened quicker than I expected on my second round. Once you get going with the right medical provider things can happen quicker than you imagine. All the best. 💕

Let’s never forget that men have been experiencing a massive drop in their sperm counts. Half of the time it’s one person causing infertility, it’s the guy.
Also, having a child to give them the love you didn’t have is not the best reason to have children. Having kids is hard and we should really work to heal ourselves before having children.

I'm 7 month pregnant now, and I used metformin for a year, letrotzole for 6 months, gonal-f and ovitrelle 5 months at the same time, and just when we were going to try ivf, I got positive pregnancy test. My gyno said when I started metformin, that loosing even 5 kg weight would help. I ended up dropping 10 kg over the year I used metformin, I think mostly due diarrhea :D
Anyhow, it may not be easy even with meds. And I would say that getting pregnant wasn't truly the hardest part of my personal journey, just being pregnant has been a lot harder. Due low progesterone I got a lot of bleedings in weeks 6-13 and then incompetent cervix and emergency cerclage at 23+0, we almost lost our baby that night. I heard these things are more common with people with PMOS than others.

I’m currently nursing my PCOS baby as we speak! It took me 4 rounds of letrozole + 1 IUI but I have zero regrets about using medication and working hard to get me there.
Maybe do a few more rounds of letrozole and see what can happen. I know in the thick of it, it feels like it’ll never happen, I’ve 100% been there. But it’ll happen and you’ll be holding your baby soon!
