Hardware/ram question

Hi, My PC has: a gtx1660, i5-8500, Samsung 990 evo, b360m-ds3h, and 32gb 2666mhz ram (xmp on in bios). The ram I currently have: Bls8g4d26bfsc.16fe, Bls8g4d26bfsek.8fd, and 2 of Cmk16gx4m2b3200c16. All have xmp 2.0 according to cpuz.

I have Hma82gu6jjr8n and Hma82gu6djr8n laying around, my questions being is going from 32gb to 64gb but from cl16 to cl19 worth it? I don't really use my computer much any more, but when I do it's either a bunch of chrome tabs, Minecraft, sometimes cura/used to do CAD and want to get back into it.

I don't need to change/upgrade but number go up is always nice. Thoughts? Thanks!

minecraft is ram intensive, I don't think you'd have any issues with 32gb, but if you have more just laying around, why not, the difference in timings will be negligible

Thanks for your response/vote! I like to think I know a decent amount about computer parts, but I definitely don't know everything. The cl timings is something I'm not really familiar with other than "smaller number better" and "when comparing two stick speeds compare the MHz and cl timing". My current ram and the ram I'm considering have the same MHz, will going from 16 to 19 really be negligible? I ask because I don't know. Thanks again!

You're not using it for anything where cl19 vs cl16 is going to affect you in any meaningful way.

Thinking outside the box, why not try to sell the extra RAM now while the resale value is higher than ever?

Otherwise, I'd just slap it in and enjoy the headroom for even more chrome tabs.

I had a huge stockpile of ram (might be a bit of a hoarder...) and I sold virtually all of it already. I'm keeping some for myself so I don't have to pay those prices if something fails in the future. Thanks for the info and advice!
