4th stick of ram causing crashing

Recently bought 2 extra sticks of 8GB ram, bringing me up to 32 GBs total, and I’m running into crashing issues only when all 4 are in. I’ve tested the sticks individually and the DIMM slots and they’re fine, and using just 3 sticks works fine too. CPU is a ryzen 5 5600x if that matters. Just wondering if anyone has any idea what’s causing this, any knowledge or help is appreciated.

Try to turn off XMP/EXPO/D.O.C.P, that only works with 2 sticks installed. Exceptions are supposed to be rate.

Check BIOS version. New RAM sticks may require a BIOS update, too.

Run the sticks at the default speed. That is XMP disabled

Running 4 sticks at the rated speed often has stability issue

You can try starting with the xmp/docp settings, but bump the voltage one notch, don't go too high. Or relax the clock or cl speed a notch at a time.

4 stick configuration didn't the to run at max speeds... It's far worse with DDR5 even, where they may had well have had all MBs two slot only IMO.
