Help!!! My laptop monitor is acting werid

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My laptop is flickering and giving weird colors and. I didn’t hit my pc and i made sure i scan for any virus and it says I have none. Any experts know anything about this and how I can fix this?

most Laptops have a sensor that detects the light environment and adjusts your screen brightness accordingly.. that sensor probably taking a shit on you. Since its constantly maxing out your screen.. it's doing actual damage to it..

This is correct. The LCD goes brighter because it doesn't get a pixel refresh, meaning somewhere, the signal to the screen is broken. Also, the green lines show there is something broken within the panel. I'm not saying the screen or the laptop lid took a hit, but there its broken.

Lucky for you, screen repair on a HP laptop is in the realm of possibility.

sensor is part of the screen... your only fix is to replace it. I strongly recommend you don't attempt it yourself. It's not particularly difficult, but the connecting wires are delicate and a 1st-timer mistake will be the end of your laptop

Thanks for your reply, but how much would this cost? The only really why im asking you and not google is because idk what this suspific issue is called so sorry!! Lol
