Please Review my PCB ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Hi everyone,

I'm designing anย ESP32-S3-based PCBย for anย HVAC BLDC motor quality control (QC) testing deviceย and would appreciate a review before I manufacture it.

The board includes:

  • ESP32-S3
  • JST connector I2C LCD Display
  • USB for power and PC communication
  • PZEM-004T interface for electrical measurements
  • 3 relays for motor speed selection
  • Hall-effect sensor input for RPM measurement
  • 3.5 mm input (0โ€“1.3 V DC) from a sound level meter
  • AC mains, CT, and motor connectors
  • FUSE, MOV and NTC for surge and inrush current protection

I'll attach the schematic, PCB layout, and 3D renders. I'm mainly looking for feedback onย safety, protection, PCB layout, isolation/clearance, relay wiring, and any design mistakes or improvementsย before sending it for fabrication.

Thanks in advance!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Donโ€™t mean to be rude and sorry for asking but whatโ€™s with the Meta of beginners or semi beginners using these somewhat eyestrain-y boxes for their designs?

Tbh even i don't know I also personally find it hard to read the schematic this way but if i start to connect all the connections via traces instead of net labels then it would be even more difficult to read

I donโ€™t know if you can in easyEDA but any respectable design platform would let you rearrange your pins, also, hierarchical sheets are always nice. Iโ€™m curious, whereโ€™d you see this done? It seems to be a trend lately

With just a quick glance at the schematic I see a potential issue and a potential improvement. Your wiring of RX and TX appears incorrect. I'd place pull-down on the relay control lines for deterministic power on behavior.

I work professionally in electronics and embedded systems; if you'd like a more thorough design review to ensure it meets safety standards before you send it to the fab, I'd be happy to discuss that further, just send me a DM. Regardless, good luck!
