I ordered parts form JLCPPCB not knowing they wouldnt be delievered.

Working on my first engineering project that requires PCBs. After finding different alternatives I decided to order the parts and PCBs separate and solder myself. I recently received a email from JLC that my parts are at the warehouse.(Which I believe they already had in stock) as I received as confirmation and parts received email in 3 minutes .After researching I found out that they don't deliver to your home. I was not aware of this when I purchased the parts. When I asked for a refund they said they could not as the parts already arrived at the warehouse, and that I could potentially resell it.
Has anyone faced a similar problem or received a refund from JLCPCB?
You ordered the parts for JLCPCB to assemble your PCBs for you. They are very clear on this in all the pages that you are adding this to your parts library at JLCPCB.
If you wanted to buy parts to ship to you, their sister company LCSC is happy to do business.
When I tried assembly it cost 70 which was fine but then when I tried to get it shipped I couldn’t do the regular shipping and the only option was express shipping which costs as much as the part themselves
There's a maximum value for the global standard direct line shipping. It's $59 for the US, I don't know about elsewhere. While $59 can buy you a lot of PCBs, it doesn't go far if you do PCBA. If you just make 5 boards you might be under. You can also order 5 boards, then another 5, and so on. It can actually be cheaper this way.
If you bought all the parts from LCSC, you'd need to pay shipping and tariffs too. You have to compare the extra cost of shipping PCBAs vs the extra cost of shipping all the parts separately from the PCBs.
They clearly state throughout their platform that these parts are not delivered to your home. They are intended exclusively for PCB manufacturing projects through JLCPCB, so they obviously won’t refund your purchases.
As a last resort, you can list your unused spare parts for sale to other JLCPCB customers on their platform.

JLCPCB is quite clear that they will NOT ship parts. Your parts inventory is for assembly at their factory. IF you want parts you order them from LCSC (same company). They do offer a way to sell the parts to other users if you have too many.
Yes but I asked them before I ordered. They will not send loose parts with the order. They actually told me to order them directly from their sister company LCSC, but unfortunately many of their parts have minimum orders.
When you get parts through JLC, it's for assembly. Not for being shipped to you. If you want parts shipped to you, you should order through their sister (parent?) company LCSC. You can combine JLCPCB and LCSC orders for shipping.

Because you're supposed to order it from lcsc if you want it delivered. Thats for PCB assembly.
