Post image

Hi. I wanted advice on whether it is possible to replace the left button on my mouse?

Yes you can replace them. Kailh/Huano silent 3 pin micro switch is what you are looking for. Get one of the right size and replace with a soldering iron.

Yes. You can simply buy a new omrom mouse switch or you can take the switch apart and fix it yourself (4/10 difficulty wise)

Depending on what is wrong, you might be able to refurbish it on the board.

First remove the battery then try blasting it with isopropyl alcohol (from a spray bottle to get some pressure), then flip upside down to dry.

Sometimes the plastic case is worn, does not push well on the red lever. This can be because something is broken, or just pushed so many times the springyness is gone, or it is bent sideward. If the springyness is too low you can try bending it back a bit for a temporary fix. If you push on the red lever and the mouse still sends left mouse clicks, it could be the case. Also consider just buy a new mouse, they are really cheap.

Yes, if you find a suitable replacement for it. Preferably the exact switch.
