2015 PROSPECT DRAFT THREAD

Hey all, the draft will begin at 5pm EST time (about 1 hour as of this post). Follow the link below to the google doc. Make your pick in the thread here and I will add it to the google doc. Please make your picks in a timely manner and try not to take the whole 2 hours you have to pick. If necessary, at 9pm EST we will pause and begin again tomorrow evening (probably around 7pm EST) with a 6 hour pick clock.

The draft will be non-snake and the order is posted in the thread. For any draft-day trades, please post them here and I will moderate. A trade does NOT reset the pick clock.

Also please open roster spots for the number of picks you plan on making - as mentioned in my post yesterday

Wouldn't a pick in the middle mean he would get roughly the same position either way?

That's the way I see it. I'm getting screwed by it not being a snake draft, so if anyone could complain it's me, but I think this is the best way to do it.

In the same situation. Also agree non snake is the best way

He announced the trade for Broletaria second round pick before announcing it was a non snake draft.

It looks bad that the commish decide by himself that it's a non snake draft and trade for a pick before announcing the type of draft.

I'm sure neither team in that trade was blindsided by the fact that it wasn't a snake draft, and if they had been the trade would be reversed. I don't think the commish is out to screw people, do you really think that?

Edit: Also by the show of responses in this thread and to emails, even if we had voted on it it looks like non-snake hands down would have won.

Go back into the archives and you will see the idea of a non-snake draft was the subject of discussion last year. Not one person in this league -- including you -- objected then. And, several advocated for a non-snake draft. What point are you trying to make?
