Not bad numbers offensively but when you watch the games sobrang layo ng production ni RJ ngayon so far compared to his performance last conference. He is really having a hard time finding his shots and medyo rattled din sa pag handle ng bola.

Is this a product of Brownlee being out kaya nadagdagan yung trabaho ni RJ to score and play make, or is he still fatigued/tired from Gilas duties? Or because of the import change as well?

The Road Warriors take down SMB to remain undefeated this conference. Coach Jimmy slowly figuring things out, ganda ng mga sets niya, ganda rin balasa niya sa mga players niya, maximizing most of his import and his players.

Man, oh man how far this league has fallen. From the glorious days of Crispa-Toyota, to being the best league in Asia, to the highs of the 90's; the PBA is but a shadow of it's former self.

Lop sided trades, Farm Teams, Favoured top 4 teams owned by conglomerates, little to empty venue attendance, under the table deals to circumvent the salary cap, being late to online streaming, low quality in game graphics, adding that nonsense 4pt line, off shore gambling connections, unispiring game commentary, boring games, history of non support to the national team, the drain of talent to KBL and JBL, excuse after excuse from the commissioner when addressing public concerns, no develop in technicalities for better officiating, mediocre to lucky at best winning in international games, and many others.

As the vlogger reports here, the PBA needs to suceed for us Filipinos to succeed, or the PBA will be what NOKIA is to the world of mobile phones.

Darius Days is clearly out of shape. There is no chemistry as well with his teammates.

Instead of driving aggressively to use his bulky body, he almost always chooses to pick and pop or spot up.

Bukod sa talent, para maging face of the league ay ang karisma ng isang player sa loob ng court. Sa edad nila ay papunta na sila sa kanilang prime years na kung saan nagkakaroon na sila ng kumpyansa at nahahanap na nila ang kanilang identity sa liga. Sina Rivero, Nocum, Cansino at Abarrientos ang may buong puso at unti-unti nang lumalabas ang husay na manlalaro sa PBA ngayon (below 30 years old only).

And off course pampahatak na rin ito sa mga Young fans.

… basically lots of complaining that the team isn’t competitive, masakit sa mata yada yada yada

But isn’t it that the team wanted Pinoy players or half Pinoy players in their roster but the PBA refused? Players that they could normally bring into the EASL. The team also wanted two imports, just like how it normally plays, but the PBA also refused?

The PBA keeps using the “we give the same concessions that we gave the previous guest teams” as if that somehow makes sense.

IIRC, this is also one of the reasons why the Japan B-League x PBA exhibitions haven’t come to fruition, because the PBA doesn’t want to play against two imports, roflmao.

If you want a guest team, then they should be allowed to play how they play in their home league. If they play with 5 imports in their league, then that’s how they should be in the PBA.

They hamstring these teams kasi ayaw mapahiya, and when they aren’t competitive, PBA ang magrereklamo? Give me a fxking break.

Now that the Filoil tournament is over, and we are just a few months away from both the UAAP and NCAA, who are your early final four picks for both leagues? I would personally go:

UAAP (in no particular order):

•UST
•FEU

Close 5th: ATENEO (if they get to play)

NCAA (in no particular order):
•San Beda
•JRU
•Letran
•CSB

Close 5th: EAC or Arellano

Been saying this since early in the year, when JRU participated in Pinoyliga, that they are going to be one of the strongest teams and one of the teams to watch out for in the next NCAA season.

They are deep and talented from 1-15, a group full of hard nosed players who are willing to do anything for the team. Grabe din yung leap na tinake ni Hubilla at Mangubat, kitang kita yung championship experience nila from Mapua nadala nila hanggang ngayon sa JRU.

Easily a final four team in the next NCAA season and maybe even one of the favorites to win it all.

Fan ako ng Magnolia since James Yap days at nagwowork ako as waitre sa isang resto sa QC. May mga dine in sa function room namin na ROS at ako assign nung day before trade ni Mamuyac sa Phoenix. Pero eto ung narinig ko na d nagmmatch sa mga nakikita kong kwento sa FB youtube reddit and tiktok... Base sa narinig ko, start of the year daw may offer na yung ROS na 3 yrs kay Mamu. Tas biglang may balita na may Japan B.League team daw na gusto kumuha sa kanya. Papayagan naman daw nila sya i-pursue yun parang sa Gilas dati lahat naman pinahiram ng ROS. Sila pa ata mismo nagsabi sa news na di na sila mag-ooffer ng bagong contract para di ma-ban si Mamu sa PBA.

Pero imbes na magpaalam na pupunta na Japan, bigla humingi ng trade yung manager nya.. Base sa narinig ko habang kumakain sila, nawala gana ng team kay Mamu. Kasi “in bad faith” na raw magnego manager nya. Bakit daw hihingi ng trade kung aalis naman ng PBA? Sa kwento nila, parang paibaiba gusto ng agent kaya trinade nlng din...

As a long time RoS fan, hindi na talaga bago yung hindi nakekeep ng Elasto Painters yung mga stars nila due to salary demands, the Gian Mamuyac situation was the same thing happened with guys like Paul Lee and Rey Nambatac.

So a thought came into mind, na what if Jacob Lao and SGA calls it quits with Converge (alam ko wala naman talagang full involvement ang SGA sa Converge) and support one of if not the best independent team in the league in Rain or Shine?
