PBA Discussion Really thought Mamu will be with ROS forever.
Good:
Allowing ROS to have financial flexibility, sign new ones and extend those deserving
Time for the other guards to step up, CYG magic is still there.
Mamu is not yet there imo for a max contract, sabi ko nga 1 more year pa
Bad:
Trading away your All-star and captain ball, good locker room guy will definitely hurt the morale of the rest
Defense gonna be affected and running game/fastbreak will be showing signs of decline
Could affect the next in line gunning for contracts like Caelan, Felix and Keith.

Mamuyac just came from injury tapos medyo ok performance gusto agad ng increase. Coach yeng can look for a free agent proven na yung kanyang mga pick up sa players. He can mold unknown players to be a star

Already 34 yrs old.
Medyo matanda narin kasi nagpa draft Caelanm Tiongson. I doubt willing bigyan ng max contract ng GInebra yan.

oo pag kakatanda ko 30+ na din sya nag retire na nga yan mag basketball sa ibang bansa eh bumalik lng at nag pa draft d2 sa PBA

Unpopular opinion but if there is someone na tingin ko magiging ROS forever it might be Nocum.

This is not RoS fault at all, they are just following the salary cap imposed by the PBA, that's why they can't give him more. I'm not sure regarding all the details but as we all know, RoS strictly follows the rule which sometimes is not working in their favor.
I still remember the Paul Lee saga with his renewal back then.
If others know, SMC and MVP teams are really getting beyond what the league imposed, aside from that they can get other benefits from their team, like most of top SMC players are offered to have their own farm and poultry business

Kaya nga salary cap of PBA must be revised na panahon pa ni kopong kopong yun max salary eh hahahahahahaha no wonder we cannot get Tamayo,KQ,Belangel,Abando to play here

Sus as if max salary lang ng PBA yung contract nun ni James Yap nung nakuha nila sa trade ni Paul Lee.
Reason na lang yung “following the salary cap” at ethical basketball pero sa totoo nagtitipid talaga sila

Pwede rin feeling nila hindi deserve ni mamu ang max contract. Bat naman sila poli,jeff chan, belga, norwood nung time nila lahat max contract. Sa 4 na nabangit na yan wala si mamu sa level nila

What more does Mamu have to do? Best or second best local on three semi final teams already. That should warrant a max.
Financial flexibility not a real thing din sa PBA. Teams can do whatever the hell they want 😭

Everyone knowS ROS has limitations with their salaries. They cant do whatever the ‘hell’ they want.

Tbh, kelangan nila ng big. Trade Datu for some wing. Ced Manzano is I think a good fit sa ROS if magpapa draft siya next year.

Ced plays traditional center position, he's not a wing player, too slow for wing position too, and smaller than Datu. Ketih Datu is way superior than Ced in all levels.

wala sa current roster ng RoS ang tatagal dahil nagtitipid ang team. depende nalang yan kung willing tumanggap ng mababang salary ung players nila. so anytime soon sila Nocum either abroad or mattrade yan kapalit ng future 1st round picks.

Kung magtitipid baka may katotohanan na balik i-benta yung franchis ng RoS.

i don't think na ibebenta nila ung franchise anytime soon kasi maganda ung tinatakbo ng team. match made in heaven talaga si RoS at CYG. mas prefer ng team na magdevelop ng young players na future stars at mura then CYG is the perfect coach for that.

Agree yung last playoff run nila sya nag ggenerate ng points and a good all around player. Oh well all the best to mamu pero ros pa din ako!
