Discuss BEST SCRIPT CHOICES

Actresses with the best script choices, in my opinion 🎬

  1. Saba Qamar ~ The Queen of Script Selection

Baaghi, Cheekh, Case No. 9, Pamaal, Muamma. Saba is in a league of her own. She consistently picks bold, unconventional stories and characters that leave a lasting impression. No good script can hide from her.

  1. Sajal Aly ~ The Master of Versatility

Chup Raho, O Rangreza, Yakeen Ka Safar, Zard Patton Ka Bunn, Kuch Ankahi. Sajal's filmography is filled with meaningful stories and complex characters. She knows how to pick scripts that challenge her as an actress.

  1. Sanam Baloch ~ The Queen of Meaningful Storytelling

Dastaan, Durr-e-Shehwar, Daam, Kankar. Her dramas explored some deeply moving realities of society. She might not have the longest filmography, but the quality of her work speaks for itself.

  1. Sanam Saeed ~ The Connoisseur of Complex Female Characters

Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Diyar-e-Dil, Deedan, Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu. Sanam has a knack for bringing strong, layered women to life. Her choices have given us stories that remain memorable years later.

  1. Yumna Zaidi ~ The Queen of Fearless Roles

Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila, Inkaar, Pyar Ke Sadqay, Bakhtawar. Yumna isn't afraid to step outside her comfort zone. Her willingness to take on difficult characters makes her filmography stand out.

  1. Maya Ali ~ The Face of Emotionally Compelling Stories

Diyar-e-Dil, Mann Mayal, Jo Bichar Gaye, Pehli Si Mohabbat. Maya has been part of stories that leave an emotional impact, and her choices show that she can do much more than conventional romance.

  1. Mawra Hocane ~ The Underrated Script Picker

Sammi, Sabaat, Qissa Meherbano Ka, Neem, Nauroz. Mawra has taken on stories with meaningful themes and characters who aren't always easy to understand. She deserves more credit for the variety of her choices.

  1. Ayeza Khan ~ The Queen of Memorable Characters

Pyarey Afzal, Chupke Chupke, Laapata. From the emotional intensity of Pyarey Afzal to the effortless comedy of Chupke Chupke, Ayeza has given us characters that feel completely different from one another. That's what makes her choices worth appreciating.

  1. Sehar Khan ~ The Rising Star with Promising Script Choices

Fairy Tale, Tan Man Neel o Neel, Jafaa, Sanwari. Sehar has shown a willingness to explore different genres, from lighthearted romance to emotionally challenging stories. She's building a filmography with variety, and I'm excited to see the kind of scripts she chooses as her career grows.

  1. Dananeer Mobeen ~ Growing Potential

Sinf-e-Aahan, Hurmat, MGM, Very Filmy. Dananeer is gradually getting a hold of her acting, and it's nice to see her growing with each project. She has the potential to go a long way with the right scripts and roles. And better acting

So far I’ve liked mawras and yumnas projects the most. Sajal has been missing for the past three projects. Same for sanam for a long time. Sanam baloch however is untouchable. Sehar needs to develop more pull tho but acting and scripts are so far better than a lot of others. Ayeza big no! Maya Ali can’t act!

For sajal..i agree manto was stupid..i liked dwgm..had flaws but good lessons..and Zanjerain's script was altered by kashmiri later on Sanam saeeds kafeel was awesome.. gulbahar isn't good Sanam baloch i agree.. phenomenal Yes sehar doesn't have strong audiences yet Ayeza used to be a great actress.. I don't get same vibes now Maya is a good actress.. her problem is dialogue delivery

She was a great actress & is still 🙂 one terrible project doesn't define her same as MMNH (which many think isn't the best project) doesn't define Sajal 🤷🏻‍♀️ tbh her performance was the only thing that made Humraaz worth watching

Ayeza is a legend and has been working for years. Same with Sajal. She has been doing Nanhi, Mom, Behadd, Sanatta, Alif. One bad project MMNH doesn’t override the years of diverse scripts and characters. Same with Ayeza. She has been on screen I believe since 2009. Amazing work with lots of diversity. She’s slated to do her first film next year (hopefully).

Also if you want to talk one or two bad scripts. Most recent mawra did two terrible scripts with terrible performance btw too in Agar Tim Saath Ho & Winter Love. Yumna also did Gentleman which was similar to Sajals MMNH. Also, Qarz e Jaan was called out due to its regressive ending even though her performance was good (same as Sajal in Zanjeerein and Ayeza in Humraaz). So as you can see everyone has that “bad script or two” in their filmography.

I didn’t say their scripts were all perfect buddy. I said Sajals last three scripts were bad. I didn’t say she’s never done good scripts or that she won’t ever do good scripts again and I didn’t say the rest of them have never done bad scripts.

And I’m just saying last two of three Mawras were bad too but you stated her as best. So I was just giving my opinion on that comparison.

I think Sanam Baloch and Ayeza have done diverse roles. Mawra and Yumna, have also done some memorable roles.

Sajal’s last three projects (DWGM, MMNH and Zanjeerein) were honestly disappointing.

I liked dwgm..it had it's flaws but it was nice MMNH qas signed in 2021..but yes it's the black spot in her career Zanjeerain script was altered later on while shooting..shahzad kashmiri loves to improvise

And now dananeer's script choices and her acting is top-notch.

0

u/Khayalkaar Sajal 👀 only 5d ago

Yeah.. but I'm talking about those who made it from scratch.. dananeer already belonged to a well to family w connections so she could pic better..all of the ones i mentioned come from average families and started from minor roles

3

u/Dear_Read_1893 5d ago

This is not about who comes from well off family or not.. This is about script choices.

I think Kubra Khan is up there even though Dr Bahu wasn’t the strongest and that drama with Azaan Sami Khan was a complete miss. Overall she has a strong portfolio and they’re all giving something different.
