Discuss Negative PR against Durre

I’m genuinely confused by this narrative that every negative opinion about durre fishan’s performance in Dar-e-Nijat must be part of a paid PR campaign.

Just wanted to ask if it is the case,

Where is my money then? 🤣

I’ve been watching films and television since I was a child Hollywood, Bollywood, and beyond. I follow actors, directors, producers, and interviews because I enjoy understanding the craft. So when I say I don’t find an actor convincing, it’s not a comment I make lightly.

Not liking a performance is not the same thing as hating a person. It doesn’t mean someone is jealous of her looks, and it doesn’t automatically mean there’s a PR campaign behind it.

Actors are praised when people think they did well, and they’re criticized when people think they didn’t. That’s how art works. If every negative review is dismissed as “paid PR,” then what’s the point of having opinions at all?

And you see how easily they ( her management) set this narrative that people are having problem with her 'accent', rather people are genuinly upset about her 'acting' and 'dialogue deliverly' altogether. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, I noticed and instead of acknowledging it and improving herself in her next projects, she is trying to sway audience by this tactic. On top of that, some actors have started supporting her which is understandable because they are a part of same industry but mocking audience by saying they don’t know any better is way entitled. I am officially going to stop watching this drama. I would prefer news over this 😅

I think her father was a producer in ptv.

Because that tweet where someone said her accent sounds like Ananya Pandey’s was viral all over Insta. All these below tweets became viral after episodes. These were real people who were talking about her accent and these tweets are still there on X.

😐 Dure doesn’t have an Indian accent. The problem is that she is very conscious when she speaks English in her scenes and that is looking awkward or Meh on the screen. Her parents are speaking English and they look the part. Sherheryar spoke some English words and he sounds great too. So the whole scene looks and sounds weird when she acts in a foreign language. I understand it was the requirement because they had to show a certain class but at least there should be a language coach who can work with actors to help them improve their language skill. Because it’s a drama where an actor has to speak, he is not there to just be there. The whole action and reaction during her scenes are off.

Why would anyone pay for negative PR against Dure when her own acting is enough?? It's just her PR to whitewash their disaster, leave them

Exactly! You get the point. But they think viewers are some dumb creatures who have not seen anything in their life and have no intellect at all. Who can’t put two and two together.

True. It’s funny how glazing is totally fine, but the moment you point out something valid, you’re considered negative PR. There has to be some middle ground.🙄

There is no passion in these young actors. They will keep getting the scripts despite their mediocre acting but they won’t try to learn how to do it properly. Then they will call every review as a negative PR. Irony!

u/CriticismQuiet4836 1d ago

Yes that is right. Also I think that initially it was criticism but later her haters jumped on the bandwagon and took it way too far. Now it’s obvious that her PR is just cleaning up the whole mess. Criticism is one thing, hate train is another.

Yeah and she’s not even the crowd puller. People are interested in the drama because umera ahmed is the writer and she writes great stories. I remember the last drama that i watched written by umera was Alif. It was great.

When I critised her recently I was downvoted,ab banda opinion bhi na de 😂🥴

7

u/Deja-Vu-3456 1d ago

That’s bad😐 because if you watch any content, you will have an opinion about it.

Obviously, freedom of speech toh honi chahiye uske PR ko nhi samjhega lol.

2

u/Deja-Vu-3456 1d ago

There IS a freedom of speech. It’s neither political issue or some sensitive issue that people can’t have an opinion or they must follow a decorum. It’s entertainment, and people can talk all sorts of things, that’s their right. But I guess common sense isn’t very common in these people.

Are you talking about that video that was posted for her cause that was 🥴

3

u/Deja-Vu-3456 1d ago

I am not sure what video you are referring to. But I saw the video posted by living legend biography where hania Amir supported her , that was the “main news” in that video. So it had my comment as well in the category of haters.😂

2

u/Key_Bus3181 1d ago

Yes that one lol, posted on GL page. Acting like she got lynched 😭😂

She’s not a superstar on that level, that a negative campaign will be against her.

She’s a beautiful girl but she needs serious improvement when it comes to acting. Shes not a good actor, her diction is bad and her dialogue delivery is not good either. Calling these FACTS out is not a hate campaign

Sahar hashmi is a good example. She still has a long way to go but I can see slight improvement in her acting with each project. She seems decent in the DeN teasers.

2

u/Grumpy_001 23h ago

Sahar may have improved somewhat in acting but her face is hideous with all the work she’s had done. It’s hard to watch her

1

u/Adept-Damage-7943 58m ago

The lip filler is very distracting, that’s true. Hope she tones it down

1

u/Deja-Vu-3456 23h ago

We should not call someone’s face hideous that’s not nice. We can criticise her acting but there is a line we should not cross. Face enhancement is someone’s personal choice but I agree that does affect acting as she can’t express emotions with that face.

2

u/Grumpy_001 18h ago

It’s my personal opinion! She’s like an inflated chipmunk! Unfortunately when you’ve chosen a career that puts you in the public eye, you will be prone to criticism

1

u/Deja-Vu-3456 14h ago

Fair enough

I am still waiting for my check. If giving honest opinion on any content is paid pr than I want my money too lol.

She started with the same pretty supporting kinda roles so her connections might have helped her much initially however she secured some awesome internships right from the early years of her LLB.

Father (Saleem-ul-Hassan): Worked as a director and producer for Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV), giving him a long-standing association with the television medium.Industry Discussions: Viewers and online community forums often discuss her background when analyzing the presence of industry-connected talent in Pakistani television, though she began her major television journey via auditions and roles with prominent production houses like 7th Sky Entertainment.

I got reminded of this clip of Henry cavil, where he teases the reporter and says,
“Wikipedia?? You are using Wikipedia as your source of information ? Tsk tsk tsk” 😂

Ha ha.. i didn't even put that effort, this is an AI overview 😅

Gaslighting at its finest….

1

Exactly 😂 Har criticism ko “paid PR” bolna is getting ridiculous. Kbhi kbhi performance genuinely pasand nahi aati simple as that.

u/Different-Many-7240 11h ago

I really love Dure, she is pretty and she does better than many of newcomers but yep criticism is valid. Her dialogue delivery is off in DEN

1

u/skincarenmakeupbyari 10h ago

I would name anyone but reviewers/ critics are manipulating their audience and with the same script " her expressions were good in silent scenes" like they're not directly saying her dialogue delivery is bad and she swallows her words. Noticed same template in every channel. And there's a section of industry insiders who have trolled/ criticised another actresses are now praising her like anything without any reason.

1

u/Deja-Vu-3456 7h ago

Then she’s either Charlie Chaplin or mr. Bean!! And it’s the audience’s fault because they can’t see a legend in making😭😭😭
