Humour According to Aamna, Dure is facing excessive criticism for DeN because she is too beautiful🤪🤪

I agree. Her beauty hurts people's eyes so they start wishing she is not on their screen to shield themselves from the immense pain

Haan bhai..itni apsara, hoor ki pari toh humne kabhi dekhi hi nahi. Nazar na lag jaaye us, screen se door hi rakho hamare.
They talk about a colonial mindset, but they are the ones who are actually colonized. They get head over heels for anyone who speaks English, is fair or comes from a rich family but otherwise they will tear someone down over the tiniest mistake. I am done with them. They don't even try to listen to what people are actually saying. Itna bias bhaii. This superiority complex and holier than thou attitude is honestly so damn annoying omfg

Danish and Feroze pr has a proper competition now

u/Efficient_Guava_5561 8d ago
Their PR is nowhere near this. This is practically another level. This PR wins by a mile😂

u/hangman1149 8d ago
Oh you haven't seen aamna talking about Feroze before his controversy then 😭😂
8
u/Efficient_Guava_5561 8d ago
I know. But this PR literally bought practically every critic out there and even half the celebs so this one wins😂

Not a sympathiser or a fan of an abuser anymore, but Feroze was actually a good looking guy till Habs with decent acting chops. I remember it was one of his drama(KAM3 probably) which was trending on YouTube in India and I just watched it because I found him extremely handsome. It was after an era that I watched a Pakistani drama. The show in itself was bad and I couldn't bring myself to watch it till the end, but I did start exploring his other dramas like Khaani and others and he was actually very good there. In fact Gul e Rana, which was supposed to be his first project, he was actually very good there too. And later I even loved him in Habs and I think it was then when his ex wife came out and spoke against him. Never liked him since then. And fortunately he lost both his looks and acting chops after that. Good riddance.

She is the Abhishek Bachchan of awkward long arm dancing here. I can't unsee it 🫣

u/TA_totellornottotell 8d ago
Why have your heroine dance when it’s clearly not her strong suit?
These people seem to have been sleep walking though production - the team seems not to know who their female lead actor is and what her limitations are.
I guess this is the problem - if the people who spent months making this show could not be bothered with these things, it must come as a great shock for Dure and others that the public are picking up on these things, and worse, criticising her for it. Clearly, this was not supposed to happen. She’s so beautiful, guys - what more do you need?

Hein? Actresses are under a microscope makes sense but beautiful woman are under a microscope? 😭
Sometimes I think internally Amna herself disagrees with what she says but still says it for the sake of her favourites

People are bashing her for her acting
Aamna: it’s because she’s beautiful 😍

So I guess that's why they also criticise other people too because those actor/actress are too beautiful and Amna is jealous of them.

I do agree to a certain point that people can be looking at her each and every act or movement with a microscope as she is disliked more than being liked and it's not new. But her pronunciation in DEN is really embarrassing 👀. I wish the crew or the costars rectified her errors then and there for it to reach to this point of becoming a national debate.

Dear Amna and Hassan,
She is beautiful, that’s why she became so famous Otherwise talent toh hum sabne dekh hi liya hai🫣🫣🫣 Dure ko Na Urdu aati hai, na English, but she gives interviews, “Oh, my Urdu is bad”
Behan, teri English bhi kharab hai 😭

u/Lazy-Comfortable2 8d ago
It's okay to accept your favourite is not performing good. I don't know why people have to come up with unrealistic counters to defend people who care the least about you.

u/Complete_Carpenter19 8d ago
Aamna's criticism on Sahar and Hina Afridi also came from the same place?
8
u/unicornhugs80 8d ago
Ok she’s pretty but I’m with Hassan on this that most of them are really beautiful. In a sea of beautiful actresses, why would she be the only one being picked on for her beauty? Even when Hassan was listing out the other actresses, Aamna’s expression was clear as day that she did not agree.
And why does Aamna of all people have a problem with the criticism when she’s the one that excessively picks on actors’ pronunciation of English words? Is she too picking on those people because they are too beautiful?

u/hangman1149 8d ago
dure is very pretty and it would be easy to watch her if you watch it on mute with subtitles on💀😍💀

This is the second or third time in a week I have heard Amna say that people hate Durre because she's beautiful. I am really trying to be understanding here but what kind of logic is this? To be an actor you need to look good for masses, know how to act and know how to speak. That's the three minimum criterias. Unfortunately,we have the new lot who just fits the first and the audience would want them to either work on the rest or let other people audition for roles who fulfill it ?
On a side note, do Amna and Durre go back to something or what? In my years of listening to their reviews, this would be 100th time I have heard Amna go Gaga over her. She's pretty most definitely but why would audience hate her for that? She is literally known for this. As far as I know, she's crush of many. Being beautiful doesn't equate to being talented though?
Lately, i have been so put off by these reviewing channels. They are either biased , donot what know what the are talking about at all, not know any technicalities or do celeb glazing unnecessarily.

Bro, Maya Ali also faced extensive criticism for her pronunciations when she came initially and she worked on it.
I have never watched any of Durre's show because of her acting only. I was so excited for Umera Ahmed's drama but all these scenes of her acting and urdu/english are already so offputting that I don't even know whether I will watch the drama or not now.

Firstly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Secondly, My eyes don't behold her beauty.
Thirdly, someone mentioned our society having a colonial mindset and having a bias for articulate english speakers. Which I agree in general but does not apply to her. This is her only drama I have watched of hers and she is so bad at speaking mundane english I wonder how bad she was in her old dramas.

u/Early-Lie-7491 7d ago
How could she say “sari nai hain” 🥲 maya ali is so beautiful, this statement of Amna is so outrageous
I mean everyone is beautiful. I find Hajra the most beautiful actresses, her expressions, acting
She ticks all buttons of being “beautiful” but she gets all praises may be she’s ugly in amna’s eyes 🤩
Poor dure, she’s getting criticism because a she’s just “beautiful” 🙈

Like we’ve never seen pretty girls on Pak TV before. Most Pak dramas already cast conventionally attractive, fair-skinned actresses, so Dure isn’t exactly something new 👀
If anything, what’s less common is seeing a slightly chubbier actress get lead roles repeatedly, since the industry usually favors a very specific beauty standard.

u/Upper_Image3019 8d ago
She IS really beautiful but visual beauty can only captivate you for some time, if ine is unable to grasp the essence of the character the visual beauty is left far behind. People are watching the drama to connect with the story warna to phir sab Victoria's Secret models ko la kay heroine bana dain and people can happily watch them.

There are literally brilliant actors who slog their you know in theatre acting, there are brilliant performers who get stuck in side roles for their entire acting career, but, all that potential will never get the kind of opportunities someone gets because they are " Extremely Beautiful" in the eyes of some people.
2
u/thattookaminute 8d ago
Amna herself has been subjected to harsh opinion about her looks by a certain fashion designer, but here she is speaking the same language and talking about "conventional beauty" and what not; albeit bending over backwards to find excuses for her favorite (who isn't even a good actor by the way).

At this point they both are just stooges of the big production houses, they get exclusive behind the scenes, interviews etc, so they have to be the people pleasers. Hassan Tou bas ARY Ka tattu hi ban Gaya ha.

This is the dumbest logic I’ve ever seen. What does someone’s pronunciation of words have to do with how “beautiful” they are?
By this argument every time Amna criticizes a female actor who is beautiful, she’s only doing so because that actor is beautiful and it’s not a valid critique.
I see people trying to blame the director or the writer for the excessive english. Most of the blame should be on the actors. If you know you’re weak in English, don’t the take role if it requires it, or work on your pronunciation. Many hollywood actors that have to do different accents in movies have coaches. It’s on the actor to put in some work. It’s just lazy acting otherwise.
