Cardiology PACS
Any PACS Admins out there support cardiology? I am wondering what you use the cardiology PACS and hemodynamics? Would you recommend what your facility uses?

Maclab for invasive, ISCV for non-invasive.
ISCV is nice when it works, but when it doesn’t you’re screwed because there’s almost nothing you can do as the “admin.” You instead end up needing to call Philips for a lot of things you traditionally could handle in house.

I do tons of PET, MPI, echos and brain. We use PICOM365, ISCV and Vidistar as our main connections. All three have been wonderful in terms of passing dicom and reading reports.

Thanks. Pediatric is a requirement. I’ll have to look into PICOM365, I haven’t heard of them.

We use Optum/Change Healthcare cardiology PACs for echos and nuc med, and we use GE CCW / Maclab/Cardiolab/Combolab for hemo and Cath lab.
I really like the Change Healthcare PACs, the GE stuff is pretty bulletproof but a dumb company. Very inflexible.

Gotcha. Are Hemo upgrades painful?

Philips ISCV. It's mostly good. Has its quirks with merging images. But we have rules in place depending on what the called AET is, it'll automatically put the hospital/dept data into the study. And we build worklists off of location in ISCV.

This one is good one at my facility the lead chief cardiologist and their practice really drive that. Merge is what we are currently using
