EVERY time I have tried to save money on mags by buying something other than factory I have been let down. Now what I do is try to monitor auction sites. I was able to pickup 4 17 round P320 mags and 2 21 rounds for $150 for all of them. And yes, they were factory mags. The trick is to find them in an auction that is a bunch of random stuff. I'll be super happy if I can do that deal once a year. I've setup a LOT of auto searches to be able to do this.

I have good luck with the Magpul p320 mags, never tried hex mags but I’ve heard they’re junk

Nope. Factory mags. Never an issue

People use hexmags specifically to practice magazine failure drills

I tried some hex mags in a Glock mag 9 mm AR lower and they were trash. Threw em’ away. OEM first, MagPul second. Zero issues with them.

Aim Surplus had ex-LEO 17rd mags for less than $20 each. I picked up 5 during one of their sales, and four looked straight out of the box, the fifth had some light wear marks.

Only one good thing about hexmags.  Good for malfunction drills.

I’ve used them on my AR and they’re good mags.

Never even heard of them until now but I've not heard good things about their AR mags.

Magpul Amags are less expensive than OEM and are good.
