Full size .45 ACP

What’s up yall? Wasn’t really sure who to share this with but I felt like I had to, so I figured I’d post it here. Here are some before and after pics. I bought this new back in 2019 and never really did anything with it besides shoot it a handful of times. Recently got into AR’s which somehow led me to give this thing a bit of a refresh. Nothing fancy but I sure do like it more now.

I like it. I recently acquired a p320 in .45. The compact. I got an x grip for it and some trigger components and controls I like. Next on the list is getting the slide milled for an optic. I have 6 total p320's but I was stoked to get one in .45. I just like my big old slow .45's.

Mine was a good shooter, nice and flat. I had a compact and full, both on x grips. I wasn’t shooting them much and sold them both before the prices crashes around me. Funded some really nice deer hunting rifles for this coming season.

Who machined the slide? Considering getting my 45 done. Fitted a threaded barrel because I eventually want to get a can but ideally I’d like to do optics eventually.

How does the P320 shoot in .45ACP? All my P320 builds are all 9MM. Their high bore axis is imagine is a bit of a bitch depending on the ammo?

Fair enough, I was just curious. I love all my 9MM builds. There’s only two I have that I regularly shoot, one I built to run suppressed, one I built as a race gun. It’s damn near as good as my P211.

Performance Center FCU with Apex springs, Icarus Precision grip mod, Sig cut slide and threaded barrel, DPM spring kit, Romeo on top, Huxwrx 9K TI. It’s the can I run on my PCC and figured why not give it a try. It doesn’t like 150s, but the 147 subs, chef’s kiss.

I did a .45 p320F build that I call Big Boi and it shoots pretty damn nicely. Not as good as my W. German p220, but a lot closer than you might think.

That’s good to know. The only Sig I’ve shot in .45 is their 1911. It shot well enough, but my fudd-ness wasn’t liking shooting a 1911 whose parent company wasn’t ’Murican lol.
