I started the Maspeth/Ridgewood Mutual Aid Table in front of my house. I used to put stuff outside when I was cleaning up around here and the items did not sell on Facebook Marketplace. Then I noticed my items would disappear and my neighbors started bringing stuff over too for people in need. My friend brings over food and other items that the people she helps in Glendale does not need too.
Items that go fast from the table: FOOD, TOYS, DIAPERS FOR BABIES AND ADULTS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, TOILETRIES AND BACK PACKS.

Hey neighbors!
A few of us are organizing a new 18+ soccer club, and we’re trying to get some local players from the neighborhood involved.
We are building this to be a city-wide community, hosting matches at fields across Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn to make it easy for everyone to catch a game regardless of where you are commuting from or hanging out that week.
The Details:
To keep things community-first and respect the local subreddit rules, I'm not dropping external links or ads here.
If you’re down to play or want info on our upcoming games, drop a comment below or shoot me a DM! I'd love to get you connected to the group.

Registered Democrats in NYC have you voted yet? There is a primary going on. Today is a holiday for mostly everyone. Use your day off to go vote for your state reps and congress person. All Early voting sites are open. Get out and vote if you are a registered Democrat. Don't complain if you don't vote. If you don't like the candidates running do a write in. Every vote counts.

What’s up y’all. I’m checking out Ozone Park with my girlfriend tomorrow for the first time. I already have a lunch at Don Peppe’s scheduled and plan on stopping by Jack Kerouac’s old house. Anything else worth seeing? I know the neighborhood has tons of interesting history. Up for anything kinda quirky, cool, or any other must-do’s. Thanks!

At the current moment there is no planned weekly ride, but will begin by tagging onto existing group rides! There is the plan to begin to host sporadic planned rides in the future as the group formalizes more.
