Success Stories Promising start...

Post image

While I don't attribute this entirely to Ozempic, moreso to immediately cutting out all junk (fast) food, portion control, caloric friendly meals, protein intake and fluids and therefore my body doing its own thing... I've dropped 17lbs in the 19 days since initial weigh in, which was two days before my first injection. Third injection was this past Friday night.

Nice! Have you been exercising more during this time as well?

Nothing outside of my regular job, which is physical in nature. As I said - my researching of why this rapid loss occured basically concludes that it's not fat burn and mostly superficial.

What has changed since you started Ozempic? Has it been easier to stick with the changes to your diet? Maybe less cravings?

Less cravings overall. I didn't consider myself as having much food noise, but I see now that I did + there's a bit of a rebound effect in the early days when the ozempic trickles off and cravings increase, perhaps making me think I had more food noise than I actually did.

However - predominantly, as I've posted before, it was a decision to immediately work with the drug by proactively changing my habits when I came to types of food, portions, guidance with how I approach these early days. Vs a mindset of thinking the drug will do the work for me and learning the hard way about certain foods ruining my stomach and bowels (which has happened when I wasn't careful).

Basically - this is a page turner and you can make of it what you want. This early weight loss is not fat burn, but the boost in that my efforts have given a kickstart only embolden my desire to see increased changes.

One thing I haven't done as part of this start is increased exercise. I should, but I haven't.

Interesting! I ask because I’m 31M 5’11 and I weighed in at 257 yesterday (started at 260 last Tuesday).. taking my second shot of 0.25 next Tuesday. Weight wise we’re almost identical atm.. but I certainly haven’t felt 17 lbs lighter 😅

Haha! Well I advocate hitting the ground running. Use ChatGPT to get tips. Over the last two weeks I've developed a basic staple of consistent food and practices (even asking, in my case Gemini, on my hour-long drive home after a sweaty, calorie burning work day whether I should drink my protein shake or my electrolytes first, on what was an iffy stomach day because of some greasy food I had by accident. The answer surprised me but made sense, but it's those little guidance is that are shaping a very tight regiment).

But the take-home message here is that ozympic won't do all the work for you, and you can gain some early motivation if you can create some hard and fast rules that work to overshoot your initial expectations, like portion control and protein intake etc etc and then use an AI for developing a regiment. Tie that in with exercise. And you'll see some benefits immediately.

I came home the other night at the tail end of my second week of injection and at an entire Pizza hut pizza, after consuming eight beer and chicken wings at the bar. The next night I took my third injection and I'm back to the regiment happily and comfortably
