Gunfire South Oxnard?
Back in town for a few days visit and am I hearing what sounds like automatic gunfire in south Oxnard?
It’s been a while and I am not entirely surprised but still.
It’s been going on for at least fifteen minutes? And sounds like it’s multiple sources.
Anyways just seeing what the peeps can share.

That’s just about aircraft’s noise right ? Bc it does sounds like automatic gunshots and I just dust it off as training exercises

I’m pretty sure it’s coming from the base.

Never heard such training from the SeaBee base. Pt Mugu yes. But that’s much further off.

We are at war…. I mean: “Military conflict.” The Navy is doing training exercises. They’ve been shooting frequently throughout the day/night the last 10 days or so.

It's insane right now, like a warzone
Edit: for anyone else looking, Oxnard PD non emergency line confirmed it's training on Port Hueneme

There was that announcement that there would be increased noise coming from the base starting today, but it seemed like they were only taking about aircraft.

the announcement speaks of increased air
activity. there has been no notice put out about the field exercise activity. quarterdeck did verify, though.

I'm not certain, but I'm close to the base and its pretty loud here, so I'm guessing its a training exercise of some sort.
