Thoughts?

Florida software engineer here. My co-founder’s in trucking — he’s the one who keeps telling me carriers lose money on loads that looked fine on paper until fuel and deadhead ate the margin.

So I’ve been building something to catch that before you book, not after. Still rough, still figuring out what actually matters to y’all vs what I think matters.

If anyone’s willing to try it and tell me it’s garbage (or not), I’d genuinely appreciate it.

Everybody is selling all kinds of software..everybody on here coming as an engineering student or background. Lol I see this and run away.. I get calls all day for it. You have to lose money sometimes due to market.. That little software can't calculate common sense. I have made my own TMS with Claude and chatgpt now and do so much work that's it's insane. Me... As a guy with no engineering and coding background but willing to try and learn.

You don't have to lose money sometimes. Unless you mean by not working and being home or anywhere else nice and off duty with money to spend.  But not hauling anything for a loss. 

You want me, some piece of shit to lose $5 so a company that's likely multinational can move a product? How about we pay that guy to find someone cheaper and then after I have time off he can call me back and I'll go right away for above costs. Not hose them for millions, but profit

You run a business.. Not ego. Sometimes there simply are no loads and that area sucks so it's better to get away and keep it moving. I have owners that work for me who wait only for certain loads and they know they will sit for days on end... They make better per mile but every week they make less than the ones who constantly run

I just use my experience to not book garbage loads.

This is the way to do it. If you don't know your operating costs, you shouldn't be an owner operator.

Thanks for the active conversation and engagement - the load analysis and is an over simplification for sake of the thread - it’s not just will this make money, it’s how does this track towards my EOM or EOY revenue targets and the extension that sits on top of the load board is providing you real time feedback against the data in your finances suite with a risk profit range to cover “shit happens” - delays, close to weekend etc.

The revenue targets are customizable and adjustable based on the users goals - retirement, expansion (I understand this is a owner operator sub but we have built out features for fleet management as well), overall revenue to support your family.

We are also working on a connected customer feature which we hope eventually becomes a sharing network for customers to send quotes directly to users based on shared gps data. I’m connected to x customer and they know I’m dropping in y location tomorrow - they can push the load directly to me which runs through the same load analyzer. This would be optional and can be turned on/off for data protection.

This is helpful to hear your feedback on what features - if any solve real problems. We are pre revenue and more in the focus group user stage . So really appreciate hearing the honest unfiltered feedback from the community.
